What I need to get done before Winterfest

Steering is corrected. Went from 5/8 to 3/4 rod ends with the proper spacers and safety washers. The old stuff is serviceable and I'll throw it in the spare trail parts bag.

Still working on the pinion yoke. The end of the pinion gear was boogered like someone beat on it with a hammer so I hit it with the grinder to get rid of the bad thread on the end, but the nut is still going on hard.

New lights are installed on the front, the bushwacker flares are done and I'll have rock lights tomorrow. I've got a few broken lights on the trailer that don't work, so I ordered LEDs all around. That should be a quick install.

Headed to the hobby shop on base on thursday to change all the fluids and leave them in their bowser and not my garage. I'm sure the diffs need changed and I figure 3 years is long enough for engine oil.

I still need to bolt my job box to the front of the trailer deck for all my tools and straps. Other than that, I'm ready to pack. A lot of the stuff on my list is nice to have stuff and I don't feel like thrashing last minute to get it done.

Looks like we won't get papers on the junked XJ before WF, so I'll be wheeling on questionable front CV joints. Wishing now I hadn't let my spare D30 shafts go with my XJ.

Other than that, I'm ready.

my wipers would not come on at all yesterday...blinkers and brights work but not wipers, think its a wiper motor?

if so

Got one diff cover, there was a mixup and the D30 cover didn't get shipped. So I'm still anticipating that, sliders, and a bumper all to arrive early next week... earlier the better. I'll probably spend a whole day painting and watching it dry and another day actually putting stuff on.

And I just decided that I'm tired of crappy brakes on the F350 and it's time for hydroboost. One more little project to take on.

Well my list just got shorter and has to be done much quicker. We have two bigger snow storms moving in to our area Monday night and Tuesday night into Wednesday. Gonna have to turn the van into a 4x4. LOL Now to get stuff finished up and ready to go before then.

There was a weather alert for my neck of the woods for 4-10" of sludge over last night through this afternoon that came out yesterday afternoon. By last night, the alert was cancelled and the predictions dropped to 3" or less. It's dry, and no precipitation today, 30% chance tomorrow.

Planning on loading up the Heep on Saturday so all I have to do is hook up and go.

Got most of the truck camper stuff moved into the new camper, still have some tools and spares to move into the trailer. Ordered 6 new tires, they will hopefully be here before I leave on Wednesday.

Still got some things to wrap up on the buggy...I should have some afternoon time this weekend to wrap that up.

Still need to go to the grocery and get grace making the jello shots...

Got some work done on the van today. Went to replace the brake pads, one caliper, and check the rotors and to my suprise I needed all four ball joints. So the pads and caliper are replaced along with one side ball joints. I will have to finish the other side later tonight or tomorrow morning as I only had three ball joints.
Then on to the driveshaft u-joints, fix antifreeze leak going to the rear heater, and check the rear brakes. That should do it for the van. Then on to putting the solid diff covers on Jennies jeep, putting trail gear in the back, and check all the bolts front to back. I just want all this shit done before Monday when one of the two snow storms are supposed to hit. Going to be an interesting ride down in a snow storm. :scared:

It moves!

Bled the new master cylinder today. It engages a little sooner than I'd like, but it's light years from how far the pedal travel was before.

Tonight I'll be shaving a 1 5/16 6 point socket to finish putting my pinion nut on.
