So what floor jacks are you guys using? I want something beefy that goes to at least 21" if not taller, longer for stability. the one I have it OK. looking for bang for the buck really.

Im using a cheap HF 3 ton one. Works great, haven't had a problem yet and picked it up for like 40 bucks with a coupon. I do wish it was a bit taller though.

Sorry I meant jacks, not stands josh. I actually own 4 floor jacks and about 10 jack stands, 2 sets of 6 tons. but I noticed with the jeep getting taller than the 21 or 23" height for my 3 ton jack isn't going to always be enough, and I wouldnt mind a longer wider jack as well, and possibly lighter.

IMO, the Craftsman jacks suck. They don't last very long and rebuilding hasn't worked. I've actually had decent success with a HF jack.

Not sure of the height, but costco has a 3 ton (I think) for around 100. The carquest jacks are decent.

Are you talking jacks or jack stands?

For jack stands, I run the HF 6 ton units. As for a jack, I run an older model HF long frame floor jack. It allows me to go up to probably 30 inches. Their closest model now goes to about 24 inches. It has been the best investment in a non-power tool.

floor jacks. not jack stands.

30" tall? man thats a killer Jack! ive been looking at some of the ones that go 20.1-23" range over at HF. their jacks seem decent.

I found a HF coupon thing in the mail with the 2.5 ton jacks for like 69$ and they go to 20". I also saw the online price for hte 4 tons that go 20.5" is 114$ and maybe they will let me use a 20% off in store with that if I am lucky....

My current good one is a 3 ton that goes 17.5". and then 2 2 ton jacks, and 3 or 4 random bottle jacks.

Just a 3 ton or so from china boat tools. Maybe 20-22"? If you are lifting under the axles, that will get a 44" tire off the ground, and if you are trying to lift the frame, you can always use a high lift.

If your jack is too big, you may not be able to also use it on a car.

Just for info, about 90% of all jacks imported seem to be from Torin Jacks.

I built an extension for the support that raises it about 6" with a couple of peices of tube. Works great on my hf 3 tons
