What did you do to your XJ today

How loud is that Thor?

loud at first with my bored out throttle body with an intolerable whistle. I ground down some sharp edges and its not bad now. I am sure Ill be in the cowl/firewall to sound deaden some stuff.

They said it was their last week of production for awhile.

I'll have to call and see if they still have any available then! I know specter quit making them, I'd like to get one while I can

Installed Farmer John's Offroad Gen 2 light mount and a bar I got for $100.

Wanted to swap out the pitman arm I had, wouldn't give so I cut it off. Marred the shaft on the box a bit but I think it will be fine. Can't use the WJ one (longer) one yet because I need to taper the hole. Getting help from Adam on that next week.

Couldn't get the damn tierod out
Going to need to swing a hammer at it hard because I want to install "the cure" before next weekend.

Um, installed a PA speaker so I can make fun of Larry.

Put a fresh coat on the roof rack since I will need it this coming trip to carry gear.

Yep, that was tonight.

I made a cone shaped baffle out of the bottom portion of a 5gallon bucket. Just shields it from the cabin air intake. I cant even hear it anymore. Only outside is it audible.

Cut out some plates for the front uniframe, kinda annoyed as it was the last couple of sections that I figured out how to properly use the plasma cutter lol I guess 30 psi is ideal and 40amps lol

Installed the air compressor in the back, bolted on the WJ pitman arm, organized my new toolbox, and cleaned up the garage after all the recent work.
Stuff left to do before the next wheeling trip are:

- Grease all fittings
- tighten down suspension
- install "the cure"
- run a bypass switch for the electric fan
- install the electric line locker for the rear so I have an ebrake.
- flush the cooling system

My plan is to do the above tomorrow since I have to head to Idaho for a couple days this week.

Installed Ghettotastic hood vents

As you can tell the paint is in bad shape on the horizontal surfaces. I also started the paintjob on the Jeep if you look up by the windshield you can see some parts painted OD green and the wiper arms painted with Earth Yellow. I can't dive into the whole jeep at once right now so bits and pieces are getting done over time. I've also got to wait for payday to pick up 2 cases of OD and one Case of Earth Yellow. Main paint color will be OD with Earth Yellow High Lights on pieces like the grille, wiper arms, roof rack, piece over the rear license plate mount and the bumper center pieces. The bumper plastic end caps will be flat black.

Added a CREE light bar and bumper lights, and an extra electric fan, etc and decided it was time for a better setup for toggle switches. I like how clean it looks!
