What did you do to your XJ today

since my cage got postponed till after the sandflea rally, i had to put a few things back together. Put the rear seat back in, painted the new sliders, re-trimmed and finished the bottom of the doors, added a cpl patch panels to the doors since the old speaker holes were so big.

Man, I wish I would have gone with the rocker replacement. I'm regretting my JCR sliders.

Probably brass, but why not step up and run the original high strength U-Joint (CTM)?

cause the ox are half the price and look as strong or stronger lol. to each his own.

today i got the old 2.5 running again. swaped the posilok cable from the old to the new jeep. also blew up a battory

Actually on Sunday, but installed the hood vents.

Crappy camera phone, just noticed it looks like someone is sitting in drivers seat but there was no one there when I snapped the pic.

Cut bottoms out of drip pans... A bit of soapy water on them from washing the jeep. If water causes a problem, I will install a drip pan that cover both.

I wouldn't. There's better stuff out there.

what are those bearing caps made out of?

i've never seen those joints b4...

They're made of FAIL and AIDS. If you don't have their tool to take them apart they're a major PITA. They're also made from a boatload of parts, which makes them lose integrity if any of those parts wear out. I just removed them from my Jeep after breaking a Warn alloy. Seriously an assload of work to get them apart. Anyway, the caps are tool steel and the races inside them are brass.

Original, eh? When did CTM introduce their joint to the market? The OX joints I took out the other day have been installed since early 2003...

And yeah, I'm a few days late but we changed ball joints in my HP44. The Moog joints that had been in place lasted many miles and lots of wheeling on 37" tires. They received a proper burial.

Sanded my rear bumper/tire carrier as prepped for bedliner (hopefully tomorrow) Looks like I could get that and the gas tank skid on by the end of the week...

:doh:They are quad trails for a reason. People like you doing stupid crap like intentionally driving in areas where your not supposed to are what get things closed. Stop being a dip shit and stick to areas that are legal to wheel. Try to educate yourself on some etiquette before some you get yourself into some big trouble. !!!1

x2 ben diesel wheel where you are supposed to dude. I am tired of hearing about places getting closed because of this type of thing! :bs:

Hit a tree. Out wheelin' on a TIGHT trail in 'Cascadia' between Bonney Lake and Orting and the dirt was slick on a hill. I slid right in between two trees and had no chance to get out without winching.

3000lb winch FTW!!!

Took a while but I got out. Got some pretty damage to the front ds fender though haha.

Exciting =)

Forgot my friend took some pics. Nothing impressive... but to be fair there wasn't anything impressive out there lol. This is before I hit the tree (hence the normal shape of the fender) but after my passenger side cladding started tearing off. You can see it hanging in the pic haha.
