Before I found my PSC clamp(same as Ruffstuff) I would just make one from left-over chromoly.

Only problem with that design is you can't install it without taking one tie rod end off......

Darn!!! But on the positive side, you can configure it any way you need it (as in double shear for a heim).

I wouldn't trust welds on aluminum in high stress area they will fail.
