Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Got the bedliner laid in and started the slow process of putting the interior back in.

Tomorrow I'll swing by and pick up some sheet metal to start some of the neat projects. ;)

What year is that? If anyone comes across a 99 up Jeep 231 with the 6 planetary gear set in that shape I'll buy it for a reasonable price.

This was a 98. Looks like Byron answered your question though. I don't think i'd chance trying to salvage anything out of this case as well...

SEMA hasn't even started and I've already taken 60 pictures. Met a few TV guys also. Rick Dore from "Rusted Development," Eric from "The Car Chasers," Ian Johnson from a bunch of stuff, and Clay and Scott from the Expedition Overland YouTube Alaska andCentral America series. Going to the new products awards breakfast in the morning, then 7 hours of the show before heading home.

Thanks for the clarification. I read somewhere after 99 the 231 got the 6 gear set. Now I know I need a 241 instead. Where they only in Chevy's?

About halfway down the page: http://www.midwesttrans.com/NP241.html

I can tell you from experience that S-10 Blazers don't have the 6 gear set. I still have that case sitting in the garage.

So that means I need a Dodge only to get the 23 spline input. Might be easier to just order a NWF Black box assembled. Still trying to figure out what I want to do with the heep though. Thanks for the info and setting me straight.

Or a 88-00 K1500 pickup/Suburban with a 700R4/4L60E.

Edit - those are 27 spline. The Pirate link I posted earlier the guy used a 99 Suburban 241. Not sure what trans he was running though.

I paid $1,224 to the dealership for extensive diagnostics on the LJ and to replace expensive electronics that were intermittently failing due to a previous electrical fault. That did not fix the underlying issue...

Now it just needs a replacement engine and transmission! YAY!

Ended up spending nine hours on the SEMA floor today.

Met a guy at the Cummins engine booth that worked with Aaron. He was even at the funeral. He is related somehow to two guys that are members of the Midwest chapter - Gene Enkleberg and Pat Main.

Glenn drove Greenie to meet me for diner last night up town. He called when he got home and said the radiator has a hole in it. That jeep is on it's 3 radiator...... I'm about ready to sell two jeeps and buy one in better shape....... do they exist?

I'll give you $800 and a t-case for it.

Good thing for lifetime warranties on radiators, huh?

Yeah, I saw that. Still offering. What do you need with a 6 planetary?

Ya'll flip out when I try to buy a Jeep anyway.

I actually need the front half of a 241. Input planetary and associated parts. I want to swap out my 203 for a NWF Black Box. They sell them ready to go or in kit form. You supply the gears and input. Of course I have so many things I want to do right now to Ghost it might not be something I do this winter like I was thinking.

Gotcha.

You wanting to remove the 203 and replace it with the Black Box to get a lower gear ratio?
