X2 on the need. I've had to pick up the son's XJ the 5 speed xj, and the Beat up Benz twice this year. Dead vehicles are not fun to load.

Just order a nut and bearing for the bottom of the steering gear sector shaft, hopefully won't break any more of those!

Those wheels are nice looking but they pack mud on the inside bad if they are the same as the 5.9 rims.

They are the exact same wheels you have. I can't imagine they hold mud any worse than my Icons or any other similar wheel.

It's the backs of them that pack up. I just cleaned 4 out by removing them from the jeep. They are curved spokes so the mud packs in them. I thought that was the problem with the 98 so I removed them and cleaned them good.

Friday: Hung out with GF at a local watering hole a friend works at.
Saturday: Worked on Jeep. Straightened out some lighting issues. Finished the reinforcing of the unibody to the cage by the wheel wells. Sweated a lot!
Removed the windshield:
Sunday: Picked up more pallets. Watched some Netflix with the GF. Worked on the Jeep some more. Mainly started to wrap things up. Added zip tie to electrical wires. Pulled the washer bottle.
So I'm thinking about Lexan for a replacement on the windshield. No one locally has what I need so I was thinking about two options. One sheet of 24" x 60" cut to shape and bolted in or two pieces of 24" x 30" with a small strip in the center to bolt to. Thoughts?

My goal was to have a tow pig when I leave CA. I was looking at +mpg DDs and a couple gasser 1/2 tons, but kept my eyes open for diesels. This one popped up as one of the best overall deals I was looking at, so I decided to fullfill the pig requirement.
Once the Rocket is done, aiming at December, I'll get it out here to CA and haul it out around to Hollister Hills, Rubicon, and Johnson Valley. I'm really gunning to make it out to KOH '16, possibly KOH '17.
