Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Picked up a tcase with a sye for the xj. Did a lot of cutting and grinding on the 60 for the lj. Still have a lot to do on the drivers side.

Traded a spray painted header panel even for this 7' x 16' steel floor car trailer and winch. Big ole monster winch that's as old as I am. Not sure if it works but I'd imagine I can make it move. The trailer will be receiving the axles, ramps and fenders that are on the trailer that it's riding on. After a coat of paint and cutting all the random crap off it should be a nice little trailer.

Loading it on my trailer was rather interesting... Getting it off should be even more interesting.

Never ceases to amaze me the stuff you get in trade and or buy.

Yeah, the guy that wanted the header panel offered. He was just going to cut it up and scrap it. He built a new trailer and used the axles and fenders off of this one. He said he didn't know if the winch worked or not. I'll find out later tonight. I took 9 friends with me to load this thing up... lol

The only place in town I could find that would replace the floor pan in the XJ for me would charge around $1,000 just for the small passenger floor section.

Even if my welds have pin holes in them and look ugly I will still be $1,000 richer by doing it myself.

Get some small sheet and practice before you try it. I'm sure you know that but that is how I do it. About half way through a job I figure and re learn it. So from here on I'll get some practice in first.... :dunce:

Heck Yeah! The winch works!

Burned some more of the tree I cut down at the GF's house Friday night. Today I put up another kennel for the dogs. The wind on Monday flipped and broke the old one. This afternoon I've been giving my Kobalt compressor a work out and sand blasting a Lyon metal table I bought from my uncle. I discovered the axle was leaking on the rear so I pulled that and found the seal broken. Tonight I think I might burn some wood in the fire pit and drink a beer or two.

Hey Mike! I ran a spark test with my spark tester and all 6 are sparking at the wires....... I'll try and do a compression test soon too. I personally did not hear what you heard. I could tell a huge difference with one cylinder not firing though.

Swapped back in my AGM battery and used the stock tie down. I decided to use some military style battery terminals and they really work out great. The fit like a glove. The only bad thing is that to disconnect the cables now, I have to have two wrenches.

On Saturday, I stripped down more of the parts Jeeps, wired up my CB antenna, installed an amp on my mids in the Green Jeep, and finished installing my OHC.

Sunday I pulled more parts off of parts Jeeps and installed the front flat flares on the Green Jeep. Didn't manage to finish the rear.
