Weekend is over...what did you get done?

I wanted to move to 5.38's. Lol

Picking up my tires Saturday then going to see Andy at CFW to get a driveshaft and show him my new tires. Lol. Not sure if I'll see him though, I'm assuming you'll be riding around all day.

Nah, I'll be around. The rides aren't that long and the kids hate riding all over the place. Call me and I'll find ya.

Somehow I don't think I win on that deal........unless you got waggy 44s!

I got a Waggy 44 but you can't have it. :)

Install a 220 line in the garage for the stick welder and plasma cutter. No more unhooking the dryer or stove to get 220.
Played with the plasma cutter for a few hours.

Roger that. I've got to be in Buford at 9 which is about 2 hours away after working 2nd shift. Not looking forward to that, but I'm glad I can get all this over in one trip. I'll be in the truck so I might even try to get my axles the same day if possible.

I never realized how convenient a plasma cutter was until I borrow a co workers. I have so many uses for it its ridiculous.

On the way home from work tonight I witnessed a pretty good single car wreck. On my back road that was wet and windy, there was a late 90's accord that flew by me and was going probably 70-80. I go 55 the whole way because it's so curvy and known for wrecks. Dude launched off the road and into some trees where I could barely see the car by the time I caught back up. I turned around to make sure everyone was ok and this black guy greeted me at the street telling me everyone was ok and just to go home. He was looking in my car and looked nervous as hell so I left and called 911. I'm only 20 and can't carry so I wasn't trying to put myself in any situation I didn't need to be in. The guy was high as hell on something so I just decided to stay safe and leave. I circled around back to the beginning of the road and waited to see the Sherriffs go down and find them. I caught up to them right before where it happened and told them where it was. We drove back by and I saw the reflection of two tail lights that were off in the woods, no way they could get it out right now. Sounds like they are walking around somewhere because they asked for the black guys description and a females, but I only saw the one male in person, when they passed it looked like there were 3 people in the car. Now there is a miniature man hunt going on near my neighborhood for these people. About 5 Sherriffs and the GA state patrol. Lol

Installed my new Blue Teefus radio. No more wires! It's awesome! If you look close you'll see that the radio is mounted higher than it should be. That's because I'll be moving my CB radio from the roof between the visors to under the radio above the A/C controls.

Mounted my 30" single row light bar. Haven't wired it up yet but it's mounted. I'll be pulling the little light bar off and putting it on the back somehow for reverse lights.

Installed some switches to operate the winch that I haven't mounted yet...

and I got my winch rope in the mail.

That is all.

Accepted a new job yesterday while in CA for work. Turned in my notice today upon returning from CA. Was told later on tonight it was "not necessary to work the 2 weeks"

Don't mind if I do start the newer, better job sooner.

It'll be nice to be home a lot more often.

Awesome! Congrats, I know how much you loved traveling every week. Lol
The travel thing was getting old, but I'm thankful that I've been able to see parts of the country that I otherwise might now have had a chance to see.

That being said the company and the way they treated their employees was crap, and everything about where I'm going is a step in the right direction.

i wish i didnt have to work out the last week of my notice.... all winter we were slow and it seems like right when i put my notice in we get all sorts of crazy jobs in

Good news! Seems to me that you should have enough frequent flyer miles to get a free trip to Fiji!

The more I think about it, i'm glad it ended this way. Over this weekend i've called the co-workers and crews that I cared about to wish them well and tell them not to expect me back out in the field. Got the same shocked reaction from everybody, which tells me that I did a good job and the abrupt decision by the "higher ups" after my notice is just a childish move on their part. It's their loss in the end.

I've got almost 150,000 with US Air. Would have had well over 200,000 if I hadn't used 60,000 to fly my mom and I to Indiana in September for my cousins wedding.

If I had landed this job a little sooner I would have used a vacation day and flown back up to IN to go to Winterfest. Maybe next year i'll be able to make it.

A six year old birthday party in the morning and a Girl Scout trip in the afternoon. At least the GS trip is to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum which is cool. Really looking forward to Wrenchfest. Got a day off tomorrow for MLK day so I'll spend some time under my Jeep. Put on the new double shear track bar and that axle is not centered. Have a clunk in the back to figure out also.

Had diner with the GF Friday night.
Saturday got up and drove to Pineville, NC to drop of an old Adcom amp in need of repair.
Worked on helping Tim get the new to him 8.8 installed. Went to Carolina Ale house and drank some beers.
Sunday went and had breakfast with Tim and the GF and now home. Time to unload the welder and the tools! Enjoyed it my friend. Thanks for the bed.
