Weekend is over...what did you get done?

lol, Pink winch rope. Where'd you get it from? I have the traditional amsteel blue rope. Mine was bright blue when I got it and now the first half is very very faded blue. At least blue doesn't fade to pink.

Monthly payments aren't too much fun, but peace of mind and the fact you're not inheriting somebody else's problems make up for it

Agreed!

I'll gladly make a $200 repair once every 6 months instead of making a $400 a month car payment.

I'd love to have a new car though.

I have three right now that need repair including the ghost. I have a house that needs some work. I have a shop that needs work and cleaning. I have an MJ to start building. I want to wheel again this year too around everything I need to do. I can swing the payment and it gives me something that I can travel to Charlotte or Myrtle for $10 and I don't have to worry about weather I can get home. I'll do the payment and drive this thing till the wheels fall off or some nut job that cannot drive hits me. :spin1: this is the first new car I have bought sense my 97 TJ I bought in April of 96.

I'm just jealous. That's all. lol

I know. It's been put off for a long time. I'm just excited and happy. Until I get the payment book...... :scared:

Payment book? You guys are old school

They still send a payment book. I just put it in a drawer and forget about it. That's what the interweb is for.

Also, I'm beginning to see more companies that are seriously behind the times. My insurance company has the WORST website in the world. My mortgage company and cable company are no better. Don't even get me started on my credit union's website. You'd think that in 2014 online bill-pay would be pretty streamline. Maybe I'm just spoiled by Bank of America's slick online service.

No payment books for me. Neither my car or house.

And I work for a company that operates in 2014, sells product globally, and doesn't have direct deposit. Don't talk to me about behind the times...

I refuse to make payments on anything at all while I'm in school. After I graduate and get a steady job though, I plan on financing a clean 2nd gen cummins with a 5 or 6 speed (6 speed if I can find it). I may also get a bike, besides that, I'm sticking to Jeeps. They're cheap and I know them pretty well haha

Not easily. I had to fight the under writers to ok my 98 5.9 ZJ back in 09 because it was older than 10 years old. Maybe if you get a high interest loan

I can have half the amount of my 401k in my checking account within a couple hours. No reason needed. Then I pay myself back 4.25% interest. I've done that a couple different times. In the end I come out on top with paid interest and no fees.

I have a package due in from Barnes4WD today so it looks like I will be replacing rear leaf springs and front bushings this weekend.

Well took care of some carnage from a night ride a couple of weeks ago at Hale Mtn. Passenger Front rim was nice and bent all because the I had to prove that Jeeps were better than Yotas at the Waterfall on Hale mtn. I made it and broke the tie, Jeeps 3- Yotas 2......but almost broke a rim as well................sometimes egos can get expensive. Nothing a BFH and a rebalance couldn't fix though.

After I fixed the rim I found that my rear passenger tailight was only held on by one bolt because it had cracked almost all the way around. Time for some real taillights!
