Is that an iPone app?
Is that an iPone app?
Pretty sure it's Android only.
It's called "Torque" and is made to work with an OBD-II adapter.
Bought the adapter off of Amazon for a 8 bucks. Reads trouble codes and all that fun stuff.
Oh so it's a gps program and OBD-II scanner?
Yes, it's more of an OBD-II scanner app with a GPS tracking feature.
My brother bought me this little knock-off adapter. Works great for 8 bucks.

The Torque deal, to my knowledge, is still for Android only. I have one. For the $20 I have invested, it can't be beat. Does live read outs (lags a bit, but what do you expect for $20)? Tried to set it up on my buddy's iPhone a while back and couldn't find the app for it.
It's hit and miss on whether your adapter will work out of the box. I bought my dad one at the same time, same exact adapter. Mine works great but his won't work worth a crap. Need to hook it up to the Focus and see how well it picks up boost.
It comes with a CD to load on your PC to run the data to your PC instead of your phone, but the CD doesn't work well either and those who could get it to work said it actually loaded a virus. So i'd advise against the PC portion of it. The Torque app for Android is well worth the $5 or whatever it was for the app too. Way more goodies than the free version.

Those of us with iPhones can use the DashCommand app to do most of the same things. I just got this and the wifi adaptor so I'm still figuring out what it will let me do. No GPS route tagging, but plenty of datalogging and realtime data you can have up on the phone while cruising around. I'm digging it.
2014 can pretty well lick a dogs butt so far.
Went to Wishbone Ranch yesterday. About 10 minutes in I realized that it was way to soupy for me to feel comfortable about driving in. I was looking for a place to turn around and got sucked into a rut. I slammed into a tree and busted part of my header panel and tore off my flare. Then, trying to turn out of the rut I must have overexerted my steering because my track bar end bent and snapped in two.
I stood there wondering how the hell I was going to fix that - I don't carry trackbar/tie rod ends on the trail (but will now), when a group of TJ's came up and one of the guys happened to have a spare that he gave me. So I got it back up the trail. My axle had slipped about 2 inches to the driver side, and the passenger side LCA came loose and slipped back about an inch in the drop bracket, so my whole axle was cattywompus left to right and front to back.
I got on the road and the vibrations and noises were horrible, so I puttered down the shoulder. Come to find out that somehow one of my front drive shaft u-joint clips came out and I lost a cap and the drive shaft came loose. So I stopped on the side of the road and pulled the shaft out.
Then, finally came on a U-Haul dealer and put down almost $200 for a truck and trailer to get it back to Tennessee. I probably could have driven it home on back roads. Probably would have taken me 3 hours or more to do it, and had I been alone, I would have. But with my girls with me, I decided to take the safe route and trailer it.
Last night I got the bumper pulled off so I can hammer it out (Warrior Products bumpers - while they look nice - are complete crap). I also pulled the track bar back off and readjusted the axle. I got the LCA set back where I needed it, then cranking on the steering wheel and torking the body, then securing it in place with my seat belt, I was able to reinstall the track bar, pretty close to where it needs to be. Just need to get it to Firestone and let them dial it in.
Most expensive 10 minute wheeling trip of my entire life!
Wow dirk! Sounds like an interesting trip!
Maybe Tyler will post on here about his trail mishap he had that ended up costing him a broken arm and toe.
Had to help him load Betty and drive him home on Tuesday. Betty is fine but Tyler was pretty banged up.
Prior to that we had a good time riding around adventure off-road park Saturday in the rain in my daily driver. Couple of times Tyler and I weren't sure it was getting out unscathed. Took us several hours in the rain and mud to get out.

Betty rolled downhill and the air hose grabbed him and took him too. He's ok an the jeep is good. He's a little banged up but considering what happened he got out pretty clean. I'll let him fill in the details if he's like
My New Years wheeling went great.
