Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Yeah...wait till you see the neighborhood "good time" come limping by. She usually comes up to our door begging for money a couple times of month.

I've heard about her and "crackhead Mike", evidently he comes into O'Reilly's and tried to scam everyone. Exchanging a regular headlight for a more expensive one, things like that

Recovered my wife's headliner. So much better.

Come do mine........there's only a few tubes you'd need to work around! :D

Meth is a hell of a drug!

The finished product looks great. How long does that take, start to finish?? I've needed to do mine for awhile, but hesitant because of time.

I'd estimate that it took about 3 hours. I can't say exactly since I spread it out throughout the whole day while working on other things.

Took me about 45 minutes to pull it all out. Visors, visor clips, dome lights, speakers and all the trim down the sides and across the back.

I'm guessing it took about 45 minutes to clean all the old cruddy foam off. I used a wire brush on an electric drill. Becareful with that though. If you aren't careful you'll destroy the edges of the board.

30 minutes to apply the glue to both the board and the back side of the material, lay it on there and smooth it out. Most folks suggest to do half of it at a time. I sprayed the whole thing and laid it on there at once and smoothed the whole thing out.

30 minutes to put it all back in.

That leaves you with half an hour of extra time to sit back, drink a couple beers and admire your work.

Finally lucked up and got some field work in town this week. Only 10 minutes from home, which made for the perfect opportunity to have fun with the Jeep and call it work!

What it looked like leaving the job site:

I really hate mud, but the crew bet me I wouldn't take the hard line on the way out. Had to prove them wrong :D.

I tore down the 4.0 that dropped a rod in my son's MJ. It looks like it spun #2 rod bearing. That journal was scorched.

Its a shame, this RENIX block was in great condition otherwise.

I saved a few parts off of it. The head is good and the timing set was brand new 15k ago. the HB is still good as well

Mark, Travis and I had a workday at my place Saturday.

I made two trips to town for bolts, sanding disks, wire wheels, paint and breakfast. We swapped a bed on Mark's Comanche pickup. I installed some urethane spring eye bushings in a Scout II frame so I could move it outside, freeing up much needed space. Then we moved the Travelall back inside for future engine diagnosis. We moved around a bunch of stuff so I could get to my IH pickup project and got things ready for future work. Knees and legs were pretty sore so I called it a day at 4 pm.

Thanks Mark and Travis for helping me out!

I installed the world's largest LED lightbar on the front of my Jeep and went for a ride down to the creek on the backside of my property. After all this rain I fully expected to see Noah floating down the creek in his Ark.

I heard we got almost 5 inches of rain over night.

This creek is usually no more than a foot deep. Judging by the debris on the banks the water got so high last night that it flooded the whole bottom and receded by morning.

Some flooding that is still pretty...flooded.

Backed into my mom's car in my XJ and crushed the tailgate. Luckily the local boneyard had a Vibe on the yard that had only been there for 2 days with a perfect (although wrong color) tailgate. Hopefully a respray is cheap and I can just pop the new one on.

NICE BIG PICTURES LOL!

I pulled the 96 low mileage engine out of storage today and pressure washed it. It will get all new gaskets, RMS and be dropped into my 94(Little Red)

Its going in this 94 that i bought for a $1. The engine is done and the interior is trashed but the outside is in good shape.

If you think about selling those Icons, give me a holler lol

Holy huge picture batman!

Ya know, updating here is usually pretty pointless since 80% of you are on FB but oh well.

Went for a little ride yesterday. Went and checked out all the known flood spots I could find since we got another 4 inches of rain Saturday night.

This is normally an old wood bridge with no sides.

This is what's left of the road on the other side.

This is Blacks Mill. Everything under the water is solid smooth rock that lots of people go play on. It's usually a small steady stream down the far side.

This was my little route. (Playing with a new app)
