Long night and early morning. Suzie's WJ started acting up again yesterday, rough idle and pulsing. I had a feeling that the injectors were not up to snuff for awhile, so I decided to pull them out and order a brand new set, so I got all that torn apart and ordered last night.
Then realized that we both need a car today, but my XJ was sitting on jack stands while I tried to find a short shaft with the 760 joints so that I could replace the u-joints, hub, and bearing. Planned to put it all together at lunch today so that I could use it this afternoon. Woke up at 6:30 realizing that I needed to get it done before she left because the battery was dead, and if she was gone, I'd not have any way to jump off the XJ.
So, rolled out of bed and redid the drivers side with the old shaft, hub, and bearing, and the new rotor and pads. Then I pushed it out of the garage and jumped it off and took it for a ride. Got to the bottom of the driveway, hit the brakes, and heard a thud and realized right away that I hadn't fully tightened up the lower control arm and it slid backwards about 3/4 of an inch.
Got back to the garage and hooked a chain to the trailer hitch on the ZJ and the axle of the XJ and put enough force on it to pull the axle back forward, then climbed under it in the rain to tighten up the bolt. Then took it for another run.
Now it's sitting half in the garage and half out, running to recharge the battery. It is pouring rain, so I have the hood in the garage so it doesn't rain through the Lebaron vents.
Finally, I checked Facebook, and

, even though I should have been at work 2 hours ago. I'm thinking about grabbing some breakfast soon, too.
I did realize though, while working on the Jeep this morning that it would sure be great to have a job where I could go in and do nothing but turn wrenches all day long! Anyone have some start up capitol? I have a great business idea....
