Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Getting my brothers XJ ready too, 44/9 swap, just needs finished welding the unibody bracing and all, driveshafts, and brakelines.

Sitting on its own weight, hoping to be on the trailer heading to Uwharrie by 5 pm.

44's!....................wow!:worship:

I'm still on the hunt for the elusive blurple......

Hehe - my pops has a TJ in blurple. He bought it at night and thought it was black and well, came out the next day and realized he had a true Barbie Jeep, lol..

Well I put in my Front Spartan locker on the D30 yesterday, but not without issue. First, I broke off my punch in the carrier.....3 hours later I was good though after making up 3 new curse words. Then I replaced the front wheel bearing, then replaced my tie rod with a 1.5 DOM tube custom tie rod with new TREs.......

Needless to say, it took all day to do it by myself.

Finally broke down and cut into my Jeep. Trimmed the front fenders and did a little bit of cut and fold behind the rear tires.

Then get a phone call about 10 minutes after Nick leaves saying "BP gas station. Starter." Nothing a quick strap away from the pump, and a trip to the parts house can't fix. New starter in and he's on his way.

I think his Jeep got jealous we spent all weekend on mine...

picked up a blown motor from brad and an hp f250 44 this weekend from aarons buddy on our mwc excursion

now i have things to work on

It was good to see you more than just every July buddy! GOt the red hatch on my Jeep today. THe guy I got it from was sketchy but the hatch was in good shape. still need to straighten out the carrier.

Went wheelin today on Potts Mountain. Had a blast as usual. There were three of us, a YJ, a JK and my XJ.

The only damage was the boot on the front drive shaft of the JK. I guess the boot separated when the suspension went full droop on the drivers side and the shaft slipped out. It was the drivers first time wheelin and Potts is a difficult place to run for the the first time. He did good but was freaking out every time he high centered or drug a diff on the huge rocks up there. Lots of rock stacking today for me.

We all made it through in one piece though.

Don't take this the wrong way.

Did you try to make it fit on the other side of the jeep?

I spent about 5 minutes scratching my head until I face palmed.

no i did not take it the wrong way. I was not excited about driving around with cut fenders so i checked it 3 times. instruction call for part numbers D3 and D4, and they are stamped D1 and D2, they go on the front. front parts in rear kit, guess what i am going to get for Christmas, and i will bet not a day before.

Went to Charlotte to cut up Tim's heep. Had a great time, almost never stopped laughing. Ate some seriously good food all weekend. Traded Tim's roommate a rifle for a 97 Yamaha 1100 Triple jet ski, I'm very excited about that. Starter died on the last start I needed it to make, if it had just worked at the gas station in Charlotte I would have made it home to the spare sitting in the garage. Oh well. The rest of the way home was uneventful until I ripped off a trailer light backing into the driveway. Which idiot decided to make the taillight the lowest part of the trailer? Doh! I wanted to switch to LEDs anyways.

Starters are optional, just remember to park on hills.
