Well this past weekend i bought my first XJ and have been burning the web up looking for good info on it as it needs a motor . I wish i would have done more research before buying as it is a 2000, and i was not aware of the changes/problems.
I think i will find some piston skirt in the pan will update as soon as i get the time to check it out. any info on parts from other years that will bolt up would be great.

Nothing wrong with a 2000.....her trailrig is a 2k and its been serving strong....when her 0331 head pops its getting a 4.7 stroker......

Shell have to keep up with a supercharged buggy when i finish it....shell need more motor.

Yeah sorry those mwc guys claim Ohio ;-) but everyone is welcome all over

I got my RE 4.5" coils installed...wow! What a difference over the Pro comp coils.....jeep feels so much better...also gained about .5" in lift which leveled out the jeep quite nicely....now I just need to get an alignment done tomorrow...

Turned this:

into this:

by moving everything to the front yard and stacking like this:

Had to tear it down so a pro can come in and do it proper - and "extend" the end of the driveway so that we can fit all of the vehicles so nothing has to be parked out on the street or play "musical cars". The big stack of bricks will slowly become raised beds for flowers & veggies!

Flushed and replaced the tstat on my XJ-waiting on a couple more parts before replacing everything since it's pretty fubar but works for now. Took it to a friends land to camp and drive around on uneven terrain (just been a mall cruiser as I've worked on it as time allowed over the past year).

Took my copilot along with me.

Let's goto the range-4H and tried to ride off the ruts-didn't work. Glad I have recovery gear and don't go anywhere by myself vehicle wise.

Broke the TC linkage and just ordered a Novak setup for it as well. Guess I'll have to put up a build/intro thread.

Got her 95% clean. Inside is next. :s

Jeep looks good! I used to live right up the street from Lake Wylie and did most of my errand running in Fort Mill/Rock Hill...feel like i've seen your Jeep around before.

Got some work done on the Jeep after work. Put it back in alignment, removed the ZJ fan clutch, and replaced the coolant temp sensor. Maybe now my temperature won't fall to zero for no reason, the Jeep won't miss on a cold start, and it will actually stay in a lane while driving. Initial road test seemed good...

However, I think the popping in the track bar has finally gone from "normal" to "it's time to do something about this..."

Had an alignment done today, tightened up pitman arm (nut seemed to have backed off a bit) and as I drove off, hit 45 mph and get a shimmy like a mofo.

Joints are good, tracbar is good, tires are good, cant figure it out, seriously lol.

Was slight before alignment, figured an alignment would tighten it up, made it worse. Crazy stuff.
