Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Pretty sure the slave would be internal on one that old, but I'd take a look at it before ordering. You never know what someone has swapped in sometime in the last 20+ years.

I need close to stock rims less backspacing would be okay with stock tires
Will go on a trailer if Aj hasn't sold the axles yet

WTF. Just can't catch a break. The past few mornings, I couldn't hardly get the truck to start.

It idles at something like 4 RPM, bucks and stumbles. After cranking for a few minutes, I have to hold the pedal down b/c of flooding issue. It'll finally start after about 10 minutes of dicking with it.

After it gets started, it idles and runs with no problems. When I go home for the day after work, it starts with no problems. Thoughts?

your mj is the bigest piece of crap ever.. Give it to me. :)

coolant temp sensor is making mine do that. makes the motor think it is super cold, then floods with gas to richen it to compensate for faster expanding cold air

The first thing that came to my mind as well. The one on my XJ flips out every now and then and makes it misfire for the first 10-15 seconds on a cold start.

You going to have to swap the tires everytime you load it on a trailer? That sucks!

I'm pretty sure making the trailer wider would be on the agenda.

No he has axles for a trailer that are 5 on4.5
I need rims /tires its the same trailer I had last time
It has mobile home axles now and I'm not a big fan of them.....

Mine is new, and it tested out fine with a DMM.

I hope I don't have as much trouble with this one as you are with yours.

No shit man. I can't grasp wtf is going on here. This is why it's imperative for me to get down to Stumpfest. :D

You can swap them over to the 5 on 4.5 hubs. Incidentally the MH axles are rated at 6K each from what I have read.

Yea if it could be done easily but would only have brakes on one axle... the trailer axle has brakes on both
The thing I hate about MH axles is tires and mounting them so there is no wobble also the price of tires for 14.5" rim

the axles are actually m/h axles with the welded brake plate. ive read they were only rated at 2800 each.
theres a diff between m/h axles and older dismountable dexter axles.

some cool things are afoot with my xj, but some stuff is taking a little longer than i anticipated. hopefully i can post up a couple pics of some neat stuff soon.

Yes 84 and 85 were external... Chrysler made the change. :looser:
