Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Welp, I got the truck.

The good:

It runs good. Idle fluctuates up and down and it seems to have a small skip at the lower idle but it seems strong.

It's only leaking "clutch" fluid, not oil.

It has 4 matching BFG tires in good shape...

The only rust is in the drivers side floor about the size of a paper plate. NO WHERE else that I've seen so far.

Tail lights are good.

The hood opens!

I have an MJ!

The bad:

The bed isn't as straight in person as it appeared in pictures.

The doors aren't straight either.

Neither are the fenders or hood. lol

Basically, to look "nice", it needs 2 fenders, a hood, 2 doors and a bed...
I'll worry about all this stuff later. Getting it running smooth, get the clutch fixed and the door hung straight.

Ta DA!

woot! either way, a little pickup truck is a VERY handy thing to have around. i'd just about trade my left nut for another decent mj. mine was an 87, 4x4 with a 4.0, and that awesome peugot 5spd. i never really go to wheel it, but it paid for itself very quickly.

hahahah im just screwing with you. i know your wife had knee surgery,

my to do list tomorrow.
weld rear drive shaft.
install orbital valve with hoses
weld on ram
do bumpstops and
exhaust.

guess ill be starting early

Why go now....? April will not be there.... of course I could go by the house while you are at work and get her! :gee:

id put it in the that space on the side of the wheel wheel.. a lil higher than the underseat..
but thats just me.. some where.. where i can actually use it..

Truer words have never been spoken.

You weren't worried about water damage with it mounted that low?

It's mounted to the BOTTOM of the seat. Not to the floor. Plus I don't cross rivers in this one.

When I use it I lift the seat, run the cords thru a nifty hole I made, plug them in and lower the seat.

Water damage? Rolling over??? You mean people actually wheel these things?

Huh...how about that.

:laugh2:

if stump rolls over he ll get smacked with everything and the kitchen sink ....

I found a Beeeed. A very straight bed.

I see a nice MJ and a MJ trailer in my near future.

I decided to drive the XJ today, first time since Hale Mtn back in November. That is pretty sad. I worried that some roads would be pretty rough but they weren't too bad at all.

It drove really well but I need to do a few things to her. Maybe I'll get a chance to work on it a little this weekend.
