Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Good, cause when he's done I'd like to rent it from you him. Or he could conveniently leave it out by the road in the middle of the night and let me know where it is.

Got a bender?

Not yet, think I might order the TubeTek one soon. I just am kicking around not doing it because although I will use it just doesn't seem worth it invest the funds to just use for my Jeep.

I'm going to buy some conduit and some pre-bent pieces and just cut to the angle I need then weld it all together.

Ohh yah I forgot to mention my front flare ripped off going down 77 the other day.

What size tire do you guys think I should go too? That is a 31 in the pic with no trimming and mind you I don't care about some trimming.

"2000 XJ - 3.5" RE Lift and 4wd COMING"

that's gotta be the tallest 3.5" lift I've seen!!

I'd say 33's and a little width modification at the bottom of the wheel well (they're only 31.5"-32" wide)

Drove 4 hrs one way to look at a truck. It was a 04 Dodge 2500 SLT, Crew Cab, short bed, 6 speed, cummins, 4x4. 108,000 miles. Dude drove from Ozark Arkansas to exit 143 in I-40 (about 50 miles west of Nashville) to meet me today. We talked on the phone and agreed that he would meet me there and I would give him $18,000 for it. Thought I was gonna be getting a decent deal on the truck, but when he got there we started noticing issues... the biggest being paint and body. It probably had half a gallon of Bondo in it in random places, but the biggest part was in the drivers door and pass rear cab corner. The average person wouldn't notice it, but we sure did. Also, the whole truck had been painted in a single stage enamel and it pretty much looked like buttered ass. It was a $300 paint job tops. Mechanically the truck was pretty sound, other that the re-bar suspended exhaust system. All in all, it was probably a $10,000-$12,000 truck, so unfortunately I had to walk away. I am looking for one of these, so if you know where one is let me know.

Ohh yah I forgot to mention my front flare ripped off going down 77 the other day.

You know, before I read that I was thinking "Oh wow he took the front flares off too!" Then I read that and went...Ahhh.

I almost came down there today to harass you for a little while...but that would have required me getting off my lazy butt and actually doing something lol.

Got my HP D30 torn down 90% of the way (everything aside from the diff components - keeping it somewhat sealed with rags til I commit to re-gearing it)... Finally learned that a ball joint press is NOT something to cheap out on. After quite a struggle with the crap-ass Harbor Freight press I had, I broke down and rented one from AutoZone.

Needless to say, things went MUCH quicker after that.

I also realized that I should never, ever attempt to press the bushing out of the passenger-side UCA bracket. No matter how I support/reinforce it, it gets bent/squished. This being my 2nd time going through this, I've come to realize that a 1.25" hole saw (to remove most of the bushing rubber) along with an air hammer using a V-notch chisel is by far the easiest and quickest way to do it.

I also bought a sand blaster and 100 lbs of aluminum oxide blast media, but haven't had the energy to try to blast the D30 this evening... I'll probably do that tomorrow afternoon and get the thing primed to help keep it clean while I decide how to move forward.

Installed my RC Adjustable tracbar to replace my shot OEM one and also installed the RC rear shackles. Much more movement for my springs now and the axle is now centered under the front of my rig. :yelclap:

I have a bender but I think Andy @ Ironman is currently using it.

49er, light or heavy right foot? Light foot I would go 35s. Heavy foot, stick with 33s. Between the 3.55s, allterrains, open diffs, and 297 ujoints, I have been unable to break my dana 30 so far, and believe me I have tried.

I started installing the hybrid cage I purchased from Greg (JeepAddict) earlier today!

What ya doin with the old ones? I sure need some in that size? dibs? or are they shot?

Those are actually my old BFG's. I put 50-55K on them before I got rid of them, and i'd say they have maybe another 5K left. Two wore a bit more than the other 2 because I got stupid busy and didn't rotate them for like 13K before I got rid of them.
