Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Man, that thing really is the devil.

I'd be really tempted to try and find or rig up an external slave setup, at least then replacing the slave doesn't require dropping the transmission.

Looking for one now. I'm done with this BS. At this pace, I could almost justify the tranny-jack our Snap-On guy had in the truck today.

Aw4 yet? Been tryin to tell ya!

:)

but NOOOOOO, you'd rather take your transmission out everytime you want change gears!

On the bright side you should be good enough at removing transmissions that you can come swap mine out for me... ? :)

While the AW4 is a good trans, if mine were a manual i'd leave it a manual and go for the external slave...which it sounds like he's doing.

True.

Have you ever got half way thru a project and thought it would never end!? For the past 6 hours I've been outside cutting, chopping grinding, welding... and I'm only 1/4 of the way done. Now, If I had the correct tools for this job I would have been done with both sides 2 hours ago... but damn it's hard to weld .250 wall rectangular tubing to half rusted 20ga sheet metal! UGH!

Grinding..

Those things are HEAVY!

They're kinda sorta welded in now. Still gotta weld a lot of stuff...

inquiring minds want to know:

how many o-ring on the lines, and how'd you get everything together?

It went together well with one o-ring per line. Talked to a lot of people and nobody could make sense of ever stacking 2.

I'm good at the AX-15 at least! I'm plotting the horrible things I will do to that internal slave when I have it out again.

Let me know when you pull yours, wasn't to bad.

Finished the floors downstairs, and just now cut the pins to take the front doors off.

Where are you guys storing your doors?

I got the Bridgeport running. Suppose to pick up the beadlocks from Tyler Monday. Was suppose to get the last of the parts for my wristed radius arms from Ballistic yesterday but apparently they are lost in Shreveport. UPS says can't do anything about it till Monday. Oh well.........

Made a new rear bumper with integrated hitch and shackle mounts, dropped a tree in the front yard and used the jeep to pull up the roots, swapped out the rear drums for ZJ discs, and then hit the ibuprofen bottle.

On the plus side I found my 8.25 has 29 splines! :yelclap:

I keep mine sitting on the ground propped up against my lil shop building.

I used to keep them inside the ship but they take up too much room. If you have a garage you can get those big industrial hangers they make for bicycles. Just don't forget to roll the windows down before you unhook the harness. :) It makes it so much easier to deal with.

been standing them sandwiched in pairs for the last couple years in the garage. I'm getting ready to build a shelf for them to help get them outta the way-- I've got half doors that need a home in the winter as well, so I figure it's a year-round addition once it's done.

I like the industrial hook idea, but I like to keep the windows up when they're off in case a hurricane/thunderstorm necessitates a quick change (too lazy to re-plug everything to roll 'em up)

I got the JK and the 90 XJ washed, the trail rig is ready for its first trail ride whenever the trails open back up.

I cleaned the dead wood and leaves off the yard so I can start mowing it in the next week or so.

It was one damn nice early spring weekend here in SWVA!

Family stopped by for a visit yesterday afternoon. Since the weather was cloudy and cool today, I spent most of the day sitting on my ass and being lazy...for once.

Done with doors, cleaning garage, cleaning out truck bed and picking up all the tools!

Going to build some tube doors hopefully this week or next Saturday!
