Weekend is over...what did you get done?

These came in yesterday..... gonna try and get them in today in-between class and work, no more motor trying to run away

I won a set of those at the 09 Crawl, got em sitting on the shelf ready to be put in. My OEMs are still ok for now, but the BD mounts are really nice, and the folks there are very helpful.

***In keeping with the theme of this thread, my wife finally got her own car to drive, and I am now back in my Red DD XJ. Did a little work to it to make it a little sportier, and put some new tires on it as well. Will post a couple pics tomorrow after I reinstall the fender flares. I think it looks pretty hawt, and now I can actually do some real work on the Teal B*tch since I aint driving it every day. Maybe I can actually install this pile of parts ive been collecting... Woohoo!!

i retook my CDL road test, and passed with perfect scores in pretrip inspection and backing, and near perfect on the road driving part. I now have my Class A commercial driver license, and i start my new job on monday. i have to get on a bus to atlanta tomorrow at 3:15 pm for orientation.

Finished up some work on my daily driver. 1996 sport model, with only 208,000 miles :D. My family bought it brand new off the showroom floor....

Just spruced it up a little with some new Cooper ST All Terrains (235's), satin black on the OEM wheels, and herculiner on the lower half to match the teal bitch. Its gonna get a light bar on the front, with a couple HID hellas to go with the fog lights.

I think it turned out pretty killer:

Pretty darn clean interior for almost 210k. My wife drove it during her college years, then it sat parked in my In-laws garage for 4 years while we lived in Europe. Once we came bakc stateside, she drove it for another 1.5 years, until the other day when she finally got her own car. Now its mine again!

Sigh..

Some "mechanic" somewhere down the road apparently put the ignition switch in my heep in..backwards..some how and it worked.

When it burned up, I replaced it..not knowing that it was backwards..and sure enough it worked for a while...some how.

:smsoap:

Big thanks to xjtrailrider for the help with looking at how one 'should' be...hopefully she'll run again tomorrow.

Heck yeah, that's clean. It looks good! Put some wheel spacers on that thing! It looks funny next to the Teal one.

Thanks man! Wheel spacers?? Naw... they are stock OEM wheels with stock sized tires. No need for spacers. This is my dd... I dont want em sticking out of the wheel wells.

Thanks Glenn

Stump what front bumper you have on yours?

I assume you mean on the Teal B*tch? Its something I made up a few years ago.

I just like it to look a lil wider. Like .5 inch on either side. It does look good tho!

Spent a good 3 hours making a bracket for the cb antenna...a little embarrassing! We'll say a majority of the time was spent learning how to operate the tools needed. It only took 24 years for me to pick up a power tool!

Excuse me while I grab a drink and enjoy my entrance into manhood

I have to see this in person. You going to ECORS The Flats race?

If I go I dont think I'll be bringing the jeep. Andy's supose to have his jeep there racing so If I can I'm giong to go and help his team.

With the help of 49erRider, installed new injectors, replaced the tie rod end on my Iron Rock Track bar (come to find out it was only finger tight  ), and rewired my front speakers.

Finally glad to see some warm weather so these projects can finally get done!

Just installed a new steering stabilizer since the stock one was crap and had no oil left in it. Now im debating whether I should get a pro comp lift kit or not. Pics are cellphone pics.

Finally got my overhead console installed and wired in. Also changed out my negative battery cable. Considering on sanding down my hi-lift on giving it fresh paint.

Pulled my transfer case (first time) and it went well replaced the seal on the case and trans and now no leaks.

My Jeep has now officially seen 4wd since the swap. I got the linkage put in, front shaft in, swapped a u-joint in the rear and I'm good to go.

Now I just need money for gears and tires

Got a stomach bug Saturday night and been in bed all day Sunday. Really sucks.
