Weekend is over...what did you get done?

lowrange2 - looks great, keep that wingnut on there in case you have to replace the track bar bolt on the trail!

Drag link looks a little short but it might be the angle or I might be stupid.

lol, That's what I'm thinkin! Quick release trail bolts!

The draglink is too short. That was just a piece of scrap that I had and used to figure out some angles.

I would have moved the TB mount more in front of the coil bucket. I'm wishing I would have done it on mine. Looks good though. Let me know when it's done. Maybe you can talk me into a Gulches ride.

I don't understand how you mean. I wish I could have gone farther towards the the C. I got it as close to the spring as possible and moved it as far forward as possible without hitting the tie rod. It's not too late to change it. lol

As soon as I get it back together I'll be headed to Gulches for a shake down run. I can't wait.

It won't be long... crappy picture but hey

I painted my hood too but I'm not happy with the finish so I'm going to go get some Dupli-Color bed liner in a can to spray it with before I remove the tape.

Basically what I am giong to be doing is moving my TB mounts to in front of my coils. It helps with the roll axis IIRC. It will also help with Bump steer BC my TB is shorter then my Draglink. I think I said that right.

In other words, you want your tracbar to be longer...

I went as far as I could. If I had used smaller links and the coil bucket was farther back I probably could have done it.

Those brown dog mounts??

Yep. They are really nice. They sent a set for the Crawl raffle last year and I got a chance to check them out. Heavy duty units. The rubber bushing stuff has an stange smell to it.

It's nice to have options.

I'm not. knockin his product..... in fact they are beefier than the brown dog piece.... but I have champagne taste on a beer budget and 67.95 shipped was hard to walk away from

I understand!

My heep took a shit again..got another ignition switch..but this one doesn't seem to physically fit right.

I'm starting to point fingers at this bs loctronics box "theft deterrent" system.

Too damn windy to work outside on it though..door will cut me in half. Maybe tomorrow.

..it's what i get for ordering her new parts :(

shoulda used junkyard parts, they are pre-tested :gee:

ps, your avatar cracks me up. Probably one of my favorite image macros / memes.

well my junk runs again..... new motor mounts and i welded up all the exhaust holes (header has more cracks in it than i can count though). fired it up and ran it to make sure its 4 minutes with low oil pressure didnt hurt it and it ran fine.... loud (hot rod shop 20$ glass pack) but still fine

I put brown dog mounts in with the stroker. I have no complaints. I don't really have anything to compare them to though.

Did you get the poly's or rubbers? I'm running their poly's on mine and they are BEEF. Too beef in fact...for a DD anyways. Every damn thing rattles now!!!

I could pick up a set of his rubbers and swap them out, but, I dont feel like messing with them again unless I absolutely have to.

Transmission mount is going to be replaced shortly too. Not too long after I put the new motor mounts on the fan started hitting the shroud, and I think that's the result of a weak trans mount.
