Weekend is over...what did you get done?

doing this alone sucks.

Tell me about! I have my girlfriend help some when she's not doing schoolwork but for the most part I have to do it all by myself. It's a pain in the ass trying to get a fully dressed axle in place by yourself... THAT is why I don't plan on dressing mine until it is where it's going to stay (As much as I'd like a glamour shot of my axle completely assembled on the work bench).

Been there done that, with 3 different d30s now... no real axles yet.

By 2 or 3 weeks from now I should be done with my solo roofing project, as well. It's a 45 degree sloped roof that has so far taken 20 4x8 sheets of 3/4 ply and will take another 24 sheets by the time it's done. I am going to be in awesome shape when it's done, I'm already starting to notice my shirts don't fit anymore.

I thought I was gonna have some help from my friend who is likely renting from me, but he is not really cut out for construction work.

Is he round? lol Would he roll right down the 45* angle? :)

Nope... he's like 5 feet tall and can't lift much weight. He was all done after about 15 minutes on a roofing shovel when I was still stripping the shingles before removing the decking (quit that as soon as I realized I'd be removing it all anyways.)

New tires are on!

I didn't mean to imply that everyone who has a desk job is a lazy ass. I meant to imply that since he seems like a lazy ass he most likely would have a desk job. :) I worked a desk job for 3 years. I hated it. Now, I don't get to sit down at all. lol

Yeah, but that describes me too. He has little motivation for anything except airplane and motorcycle stuff, I think he'd carry a whole plane home himself in pieces if it meant he could keep it.

I like my deskjob mostly, but I also like working on jeeps and houses and all sorts of other stuff. It confuses the crap out of my friends at work (pretty much the nerdiest deskjob ever) and most jeepers I know too.

A computer engineer/microprocessor debugger is not supposed to show up for work in a rusty, lifted, beat to hell jeep I guess :dunno:

finally got my reamer in. reamed out my TRE for the 1 ton set up. got the bearings pressed on the 9" carrier and shafts.
still got to add the breaks to the front. weld the drag link. shorten front drive shaft. then the rear can be worked on.
doesnt sound like much but it seems to be a long tedeous (sp) process.

doing this alone sucks.

I'm not to far from yah, let me know if you ever need a hand.
