Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Friday night after work (5:30pm), High2by and I headed off to Chattanooga towing a Comanche truck for Tyler to work on. On the way in we picked up Melkor and got to Team Willys shop and met up with Shaggybob. We chatted for a while. Looked at Bob's Rusty's flexible flares and talked about tires and axle shafts. Took Bob and Melkor home on the way out. Got back home at 1:40am Sat morning.

Got ready to go to a Jr Pro basketball game and truck we had used the night before would start, dead battery or bad connection. Went to game and then to the parts store to fix the terminals. Positive terminal had almost complete corroded away. Fixed it and the truck ran fine. Went to bed at 7:30pm.

Sunday had Thanksgiving with the family after Church. Had a great time eating lots of good food.

Thought about the XJ but didn't touch anything on it.

so for the rest of us to learn from others experiences, which forum and associates are we referring to.

It was a guy on NC4x4. I had an agreement to go pick up some wheels and tires today, and without any forewarning, he sold the stuff yesterday. It's one thing if he had said he had other people looking, or cash talks, or something to that nature. As far as I knew, it was a done deal for today, otherwise I would have made arrangements sooner or incentive to hold the items until now. He conveniently deleted the thread asap. PM me if you want to know the username.

For some reason, Moabs are my Eleanor.

i sent him like 5 pm's for the tires. no responce.

welp that sucks.

Yeah I saw that you had replied on the for sale thread, I wasn't going to keep the 37's anyways, and once I had them today, had planned on sending you a PM. I was thinking around $200 for the tires...

Thought I was going to replace the existing front long range lights with fog lights up front with a simple 4 wire cut and replace (20 minutes). This was not the case. The previous owner had them wired up so wildly that it took me more time trying to figure out what and why he did what he did than it took me to rewire the entire thing correctly (4+ hours total). That sucked.

Also relocated the Hi-lift Jack from the rear bumper to the hood. I like it there but I think I need to reinforce the heavy side somehow.

DAMN that really pi$$e$ me off.
thanks anyways

crikey.

i dont visit a lot of other forums but one of my fav's is actually 4x4wire's trail talk. thats where i ended up selling my surco rack through.

Yeah, NC4x4 is an interesting place. Hung out with that crowd a little bit last summer when they did local Meet n Greets on the 1st Friday of every month. Few good people showed up, but a lot of it was the "If you don't have a $30,000 buggy with a $50,000 tow rig and trailer, you're not really wheelin" crowd. Personally, I'll stick to NAXJA.

As for today, installed this:

Nice trim on the shelf Tim!

Thanks! It wasn't straight at all when my buddy and I cut it...but it actually turned out pretty good that way.

Really personally I thought it was a hack job! :gee:

Says the guy who wants MY discount on a couple of nice batteries for his eventual dual battery set up. Ok, we'll just see about that! lol :D
