Here's an updated picture. The door to the deck is a screen door, as the deck is screened in. There is a screen door on the house along with the real door, hence the two arrows.

My house doesn't have eaves so I assume that when I run the wiring from the attic to the deck, I'll have to drill through the side of the house then seal it up?

Do you have a crawlspace? Does the deck have a crawlspace? That would be the cleanest easiest way.

If i am understanding right your deck door is hinged at the end of the arrow. If this is true I would highly advise placing the switch box over top of the outlet you have on the handle side of the door, your going to hate it the other way it will be a pain trust me. I design houses for a living and we always put light switches on the open side of the door.

ordered a complete front set of yukon shafts for my junk today.... rpm offroad in bristol tn gave me a great deal... whole set with my pirate member discount was 325... looking forward to installing the new wares and yukon superjoints in my junk this week!

I went down to the family farm over the weekend. Had some family down and had a hay ride through the holler. Plenty of good food and some "play time" in the creek.

First thing saturday morning. Thought this was a cool shot

swapped out a crapped out unit bearing....best improvement in front end/steering so far!
Finished up the SYE....and that dumb bolt in the tailhousing is dripping...and I didn't even touch it! It came in the tailhousing....I did tighten it a smidge....but still dripping slowly.....hmmmm

None of the above except for the too many hobbies part and job taking up time. went to the farm over this weekend and the MWC trail clean up is next weekend so I got some free time!

Replaced cracked exhaust manifold, the left motor mount that was severely trashed, and replaced the 215,000+ mile factory injectors with some ford injectors.

All that and I still can't get the thing off idle without stumbling. The flog is looking less likely by the day.

When's the last time you did the o2 in it? I think the o2 is the continuing issue in the fuel delivery in mine.... If it's bad it won't play nice with the ford Injectors at all

Exactly what I did today..minus the injectors.

Replaced my APN manifold that I put on back at the beginning of the year with another APN....and i've STILL got a damn leak!!! The drivers side motor mount was in two pieces, so I know that's what took out my first APN. I replaced them both with Brown Dog Polyurethane mounts and i've got mixed feelings on them. I knew going in that poly's were going to be stiff and expected to notice a bit more vibrations from the engine but...holy hell! I feel every vibration and hear EVERY noise the engine makes now. And i've got a nice whistle now at about 3500 RPM....not sure if that's from the exhaust leak or not.

Got about 35 miles on it now...going to check the bolts again tomorrow morning and see if maybe they need to be re-snugged after warming up and cooling off once. If this doesn't fix the leak..I may just wind up going down to Advance and getting a stupid Dorman and being done with it. As much as I like the design of the APN better, the Dorman's also carry a lifetime warranty and I wouldn't have to bother with shipping and covering shipping costs.

Hard to tell from the picture but it's actually a growing crack. It's cracked at the top as well and the two were working on becoming one lol.

Yes, there is a crawlspace under the house and the deck, however, the fuse bo is in the area of the house that used to the garage so there is no crawlspace underneath it. All the wiring is run through the attic so I was looking to do that to keep it consistent.

You're right about the switch, I didn't think about that. I have just a few other things that I need to figure out then I'll come up with a plan for everything. Mainly just how I'm going to mount the outlets and switches and get an idea of all the thing I will need.

I've never run electrical from scratch so i gotta do some research on everything. I'll be having a qualified individual either helping or inspecting before the whole thing goes live.

My neightbor came over to work up a bill of materials needed to build a 14' x 20' office in the shop. This will give me a place to store stuff (model kits and magazines) inside and then storage up top for light weight stuff. Should make for a lot more room in the shop.

A few things -
* all splices, joints etc should be in electrical boxes, and all boxes need to be accessible without taking down the wall/plaster
* black is hot, white is cold
* when running a cable to a switch and using both wires as hot (one switched and one not) use electrical tape to re-mark the white wire as black
* ground hole goes up when mounting outlets vertically
* neutral (wide) hole goes up when mounting outlets horizontally
* in metal boxes: built-in clamps (inside the box) with toilet seat shaped knockout holes are ONLY for use with BX/MC metal-clad cable, round knockout holes are for NM-C/Romex cable and require screw-in cable clamps
* find the studs and make sure you aren't cutting a hole halfway on top of one :dunce: don't ask
* "old work" boxes are great for stuff like this, they have little wings that open out and clamp against the back of the drywall so you don't have to worry about the screws in the mounting ears coming out

Probably other stuff too but I'm forgetting it.
