Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Wheeled it and drove it home.

That hasn't happened since it was stock  something always breaks the day before a trip or 30min into the trail, leaving me at AAA's mercy. Not this time!

nice! you must beat on it pretty hard, lol. i almost never break anything, even on jeeps that i thought i was beatin on! it feels good to drive into the woods and back out, for sure!:scottm:

Spent the day detailing step dad's Tundra and mom's Jeep. Discovered a front pinion seal for her Jeep is next on the "Jeep repair list." Decided to rotate my tires as well seeing as how I was waaaaay overdue. Also ordered some wheels today for my Jeep...Cragar Soft 8's. Went with a 15x8 because I got them for $33 a piece from Jegs. They have a "blemish" on them....not that I give a crap as they're gonna get scratched up wheelin anyways, and perhaps even re-finished if Nick has his way with them. Hope to get on the waiting list for Treadwrights this week as they're backordered 2-3 weeks.

Also was looking back at my fuel records for the Jeep tonight...i've put about 10K on the Jeep just this summer!

Not really, it is just really rusty - probably worse than anything you have ever seen down there... unless you have fished jeeps out of the ocean.

I always attend the IH Scout Nationals in Springfield, OH. Since 1992, I've only missed it one time until now. It really sucks missing seeing some really nice Scouts and trucks on display, plus seeing all the friends I've made there over the years. Really bummed about missing this show.

Cleaned in the garage and hauled off more junk.

Still waiting on Junior.

Well, my Jeep has a shiny new water pump along with a thermostat, trans cooler and a filter with a full flush. It seems to be much more responsive under load going up a hill. A new radiator is on the list to replace now. Geez, I have put new fluid in my radiator twice since the Crawl and its gonna happen once more. That stuff is expensive........and so is trans fluid!

Helped a buddy clean out his garages on Saturday until we loss motivation due to brewed beverages. Even drove my old Comanche. XJ got an oil change/bath yesterday, then saw the Ying Yang Twins for $8, that was interesting. Today we hit up both LKQs in the area, I came home with a '96 brake booster and MC. We hunted and hunted for an Eaton M90, even found a Buick that would have had one of the newer gen models, had the motor still been there.

Flexd, you can actually reuse coolant if it's not filthy. Just catch it with a bucket and keep tranny fluid from mixing with it when you disconnect the trans lines.

Meh, it was only $25 for 2 gallons. The dealership my jeep was being worked on at had it for 22.99 a gallon. Luckily it was my buddy working on it so I took his car to the parts store. I felt like being lazy because I had never changed a water pump and don't want to touch transmissions. But $125 for almost 6 hours labor is not bad.

Racked up just under 2k miles driving out to Disney, OK and back for the RCCrawler Nationals and did a little wheelin while there. Everything held up for the trip with no breakage on the rocks, but I averaged a disappointing 13.8mpg.

4.56 gears and 33s aren't really good for mileage if you go over 60 MPH. below that they should be good.

Engine is swapped in the MJ. Not running though!!!:banghead:

I think it's the computer. Gonna check injectors tonight and see if they are squirtin.

Went to order the food for the wedding, only to find out that they no longer make pre-assembled trays of food.

So, we had to re-plan all the food. Talk about tedious.

Ordered my Treadwrights today....now we play the waiting game. 2 weeks before they ship due to backorder.

I'm running their ATs atm, not the best on the trail but I haven't gotten stuck yet and the price was right. The worst wear I have so far is from my fenders chewing on them but I've only put a few thousand miles on them max, my tranny croaked the day I put them on (was nearly dead and did NOT like 33s and stock gears) and I only got around to replacing it a few weeks ago.

I've thought about the treadwrights. I do alot more street driving than i do wheeling and i've always been curious how long they would last.

I went with their Guard Dog's (MTR tread pattern) and I also do a lot of street driving (10K in the last 5 months actually lol). I figure if I get 25-30K out of them i'll be happy. Besides for $460ish shipped, can't really go too wrong.
