Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Do I know Crapzuk......I know him from his Samurai dayz....and my Samurai dayz....liquidation huh....what all has he got left???
The one and only! I think he got rid of almost everything he wanted to. I tried to buy his big bolt bin from him, but he didn't want to get rid of it yet.

Weekend's not even half over yet and I'm almost finished welding the frame of the cheromanche together. Next step will be to start working on the rockers and the floor, going to cut out the old rot from the XJ and then lay down some new metal for the floor.

Well since its an extended weekend I'm gonna be trimming up the fenders on the Jeep to make them look better and putting some of that door trim on them at leas until I can find a better way to remount my stock flares. The PO used double sided tape to do it and as soon as it got humid they fell off.

Just one cell phone pic for now, more once my camera charges.

same one I blew this weekend!

went up a ledge, rear wheels ended up several feet in the air just as I realized the other side of the ledge dropped off at about 30 degrees, nearly rolled it, ended up busting UCA/LCA mounts off the axle (they were real rusted out) and blew the bead on the pass front. Screwed up my pinion yoke and ujoint when the arms came disconnected from the housing.

If I can find an axle in time I'll be wheeling it again next weekend, no real bad damage overall. I knew the axle housing was rusty and junk and was planning on dumping it at some point but didn't realize it'd be this soon.

Bummer weekend for me. My wifes aunt passed away from leukemia on Friday. We spent a lot of time at the funeral home and I was a pallbearer.

Also had to work on the Olds a bit and it still isn't fixed yet. I wish I could import the DA engineer that designed serviceable parts to be in hard to reach locations and make them fix it........or at least scream how supid they are to them for a few hours to make myself feel better.

Mark got my NP231J w/SYE t-case ready for me. That's the only good thing that happened this weekend and I had nothing to do with it.

sorry for the family loss, Ed. I've found it's even harder on you when it's the significant other's family-- you feel bad for the loss and even worse for your wife. Rest assured that being there for her means a lot more to her than it feels like it does.

The sad part is they had a bone marrow match for her but she could never get well enough for them to do the operation.

Thanks guys.

Mine was nowhere near that bad... The extent of mine was the tire off the bead. I just aired down a little too much. I was traveling on about a 25 degree side hill and needed to turn up the hill. Turned to the left PHSHEEEEEW!

Stretched my winch to a tree a few feet up the hill so it wouldn't slide down when I jacked it up, pulled the tire tight, put some air in it..... and POP, it was back on the bead and we were ready to go.
