Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Weekend is not over but, last 2 weeks have been fun. Got all my cryo dropped off, done and picked up (yes High2by your R&P is done). BTW on this subject IF you have cryo done and there turning the work around in less then a week (3-4 days) you should find a new place. There are 4 basic treatments with a 5th one that is rare and you only want #4 or #5. Most places I'm finding that offer it online and are cheap and fast are doing #1 or #2 only way to get parts out in 1-2 days if they don't say how there doing it ask but part turn around is key its just not possible to do it right AND quick for the kind of items we would get done just things to keep in mind before spending your green and no this isn't a dig at anyone or any business just to inform the masses
:soapbox:

1. Shallow cryogenics subjects the component to temperatures of approximately -120 degrees F (Fair) 1 day
2. Submerged Method: Components are placed in a chamber then the chamber is flooded with a liquid cryogen. (This can shock components.) (Poor) 1 day
3. Deep cryogenic treatment subjects the component to temperatures of approximately -300 degrees F. (Good) 2 days
4. Thermal Cycling uses the benefits of deep cryogenics with additional temperature manipulations during the process. (Better) 2-3 days depends on mass of part
5. Thermal Cycling and use of tempering oven to heat item to 450-650f process trademarked as Vari-Cold by Cryotron (Best) 3-4 days depends on mass of part

Door is on the heep but there are issues lot of it is in the lower hinge i think as that pin is so wore from the door resting on it for all those years there is 1/2 to an inch of slop in it which translates out to about 3in of too low on the latch side :banghead:Now that I'm back from SanFran for work, I plan to start work on the trailer so i can tow the heep around to get it fixed up. Need to install the cold air intake and custom tune on the wife's car before she kills me :o and work on getting the "shop" back in order and finish a few projects in there.

I'm going to Chattanooga this weekend for an ultimate tournament. I'm anticipating playing 7 games of Ultimate this weekend. It will be very long.

That dumbass was driving too fast on the gravel roads at Uharrie and drove off the embankment and rolled it! He wasn't even on a trail...

Sounds similar to what a friend of mine did last summer in his XJ. Showing off, driving like a maniac on the gravel roads headed back to camp from the lake. Kicked the back end out on purpose, it caught a rut and flop he went. "How to total a Jeep in 10 seconds..."

Woot woot....R&P are done!! Thanks Latney!!!! Let me know what I owe ya.

Well, I started on Betty's floor pans today. Doesn't look like much, but Its a really good start. I got the sub-frame done and the skins on that, as well as the skin that goes under the seats. Now I just need to build the tunnel and filler pieces to attach the Willys firewall to the new floor. The hardest part is going to be closing in the tunnel and making everything fit nicely. Its always a PITA cutting out all those small pieces.

Then, after the floors are finished it will actually look like a jeep again because the next step will be skinning the sides! I plan on having all of the fab work done by the end of next week. Then I just gotta pull the engine and trans, finish welding up everything (almost done with that but engine and trans mounts are not fully welded yet). Then I gotta get the Chassis out and paint everything, and then start putting it all back together, that is of course after I fix that stufid Dana 18 again. Nothing is broken that I'm aware of, but something's jacked b/c its jammed in low range.

Woot! Woot! Its finally coming together!

picked up a Dana 30 Lock right for $100 with a busted cup.. shouldnt be expensive to replace..
Got an idea for the flares. Going to buy some strips of metal sheets.. then form them the shape of the flares with a 1" lip so i can bolt them to the fenders..

No pictures of the progress?! I wanna see this thing.

Got my AJ's Armor rock sliders installed today.

Next weekend...off to the junk yard for an 8.8 axle.

Worked all day on a rear bumper/swingout gate build for my buddy's Ford Ranger. Whatever shop decided it wa a good idea to weld a "bolt on" hitch to the frame, should rot in the eternal fires of hell.

Aside from that, it was a good day.

That was good!:laugh3:
Be careful with that DD coffee....I had a cup with breakfast...and my eyes were bugging out of my head until 3pm!:scared::eyes::cheers:

Moved again (Thanks to Jamescad04 for the early morning help!), drove 200+ miles in the process, and still managed to squeeze out about 3 hours of soaking up the sun on the lake this afternoon.

Hittin up Uwharrie in the morning!

Put a SYE in a POS YJ for one of my buddy's customers, and bought an 80 gallon air compressor. Unfortunately I did not get anything accomplished on my XJ.

80 gal....that's big!:scared:
Might have to swing on by and stare at that for a while...

Come on by! Do you know crapzuk from CAOS? If so, it's his old compressor. He's pretty much finished with offroading, and was having a liquidation sale, LOL

Do I know Crapzuk......I know him from his Samurai dayz....and my Samurai dayz....liquidation huh....what all has he got left???

I made templates for the front frame ( radius arm mounts forward). Now is a good time to do it while the D44 is out for gears and a spool.
