Is that the j-o-b?

got 231 plate, 97ish flares, sway bar with link for free from a fellow xj'er from Irmo
then i went to the PAP in Columbia, picked up a nifty toyota fan for Mrs Crawlers hood scoop, 231 shift plate and lever, i found monster cable for a stereo ... about 4 feet of it and some serious gauge wire for an amp Im sure. A front double cardon drive shaft.
for $31 im not complaining one bit.
The v8 tie rod is calling my name .. there seems to be a lot of them there!

Did you put some on the oil pan?

If you decide to pick em up grab another set and I'll come down to pick em up and meet you and take you out for a beer, or I'll come down to meet you and we can wrench over at pap. Either way I've been looking for those.

I started making some bump stops for the back. I'm trying something a lil different. I'm not the greatest fab person around so it's not pretty and it's probably not the best way to do it but I think it will work. Instead of mounting the stop directly under the frame rail and stop on the axle tube I mounted the stop outboard of the frame rail and made it stop on the top of the spring plate. I don't have pictures but when I'm done with it I'll post some up so ya';; can tell me if I need to redo it. lol

Oil pan is going on later this week or next week.

In all seriousness though, bedliner is pretty freakin tough, may not be a bad idea on the oil pan except for possible heat retention

Did you put the bolts back in?

only bolts i put back in from the SWAY-BAR is the ones that go to the U-clamps (or what ever they are called) that bolt on to the front frame. those are the only ones on there, other than the links, which i removed both of. so now where the links where attatched there is a "tab" sticking out at the base of the front springs.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

took it up the road & got two loads of chimney brick so i can build me a nice little firepit/ bar-b-q pit :D
the first load was a lil bit heavy... the rear end was sagging so low ya couldn't see the tops of the rear tires. second load wasn't as bad.

Pulled the motor and trans out of the MJ. It's a start anyway...

I hauled my new (FREE) workbench and lumber to my house. This sucker is 8' long and made with 4x4, 2x4 and pressed wood. It's a heavy sucker.
