Probably tune er up and drive it to Illinois next weekend.

I hope so........ I'm getting flamed pretty hard by my MWC brethren! :D Haters.....

Yeah, I was just reading that a minute ago. You've got me watching autocross vids on youtube... I'm trying to figure out how the hell these guys are drifting automatic 1.9L 4cylinder BMW Z3s. I can't get mine to spin a tire for shit!

fixed my sending unit in the 96 as well as put the new control arms and ujoints.

i need to work on the rockcrawler. its needs are huge before the flog

Friday - Half day at work and the rest of the day spent running errands/catching up on stuff at home.

Saturday - Food Lion Auto Fair over at the Speedway. Have a number of friend's who enter their mustangs in it every year. Met up with Joshooha and Jamescad04 to walk around and gawk at the other cars as well. Ended up going to work on an old friend's 96 Dakota 2.5L in the afternoon after it died in the middle of a busy intersection. No spark, no fuel, crank sensor tested bad according to what I read on the internet about it. Pulled it off and went to get another one. Bench tested the new one out of the box, it tested good. Tested the old one again and it still tested bad. Installed new one, still no spark and no fuel, and now the new sensor is reading bad and the old sensor is reading good...:eeks1: PCM is not talking to my scanner, which means it's not getting signal from either the crank or cam sensors to set the timing. It's my understanding that the cam sensor controls fuel only, so if I understand it right if the crank sensor is good and the cam sensor is bad, we should at least have fuel but no spark. Cleaned the cam sensor up a bit while we were at it, and also tried a new coil to eliminate that as well. Stupid truck is kicking my ass!!!

Today will be spent running around. Should be meeting Nick as he passes through town to give him a part, then running up to Winston to grab something from my parents house (and probably bum a homecooked meal off of them too :D )

In other words, continuing to drive the crap out of the Jeep. 5K and counting in 2 months!

If you're testing with the wiring harness plugged in, suspect that next. If not plug it in and probe the appropriate wires from the ecu with the ecu unplugged next.

I've put 27k or so on the MJ since I got it in february... yay high mileage!

Trust me, my buddy bought this truck around the same time I bought my Jeep when we were Junior's in high school. His truck should have died when we were seniors...the fact it's made it this long has surprised the hell out of everybody.

I managed to find the FSM for the truck this morning that's got testing procedures for the cam sensor, the PCM, and the ignition coil and how to bypass each one to see which is the culprit. In a quick search this morning, it appears on the first gen Dakota's there's a splice in the main wiring harness somewhere that likes to become an issue over time. Forwarded all the info on to him because if I work on that truck one more time this weekend, it will be a boat anchor lol.

This was the first one in the "fall" i've been to. I usually go in the Spring (March) because i've always heard it's bigger, and it is. The one in Spring is easily double the size.

Yup...4 day event (Thursday-Sunday)...twice a year. $5 to park and $10 admission, but if you go by Food Lion you can pick up a $2 off coupon. Definitely see some cool stuff!

I've been tossing the idea of maybe seeing if we can get some NAXJA crew in there for the spring. Need to get up with one of my friends to see what needs to be done to enter.

I didn't even walk out into the yard to look at the Jeep this weekend...

I know a guy that has a car trailer for sale for 350 bucks. 17' dove tail. It has the metal runners on either side like Glenns trailer. Dual axles, brakes, lights... I haven't seen it yet but it sounds like it's worth it to me...

Haven't herd anything about it. Hoping to get my jeep done right now on the list is 3 inch front coils, adjustable uppers and lowers, adjustable tracbar, 160 amp alt, dual battery setup, finish the interior doing pretty much what your doing right now, rear bumper w/ tire carrier, wheel bearings in the 8.25 ive gone through 3 sets already. We think the inner axle seal is bad im getting diff oil in my drums.
