Uwharrie yesterday for the day with Joshooha, Dave (oldbluexj) and Glenn (Ghost). Came back last night due to having to work most of today. Ordered some new exhaust manifold hardware and a intake/exhaust manifold gasket at work and ordered an APN manifold just a few minutes ago. $300 spent on the Jeep in the last two weeks, but all towards fixing two of the most common problems on the 4.0 so it's worth it. Hoping this manifold brings the MPG's back up.
Every vehicle i've ever seen with flex pipe had rusted and rotted away flex pipe...it is a thought that's crossed my mind though. However with the lifetime warranty on the APN, if it cracks, i'll get a new one.

I got my D-30 truss cut and fitted, still working on it though. I think I will extend the drivers side and then tie both halves in together for even more strength. This axle is geared 4.88(YUKON) and has a Aussie Locker and will get my Longfield shafts when I do the final installation.

Yeah, actually my most recent experience with it was on a Jeep back over the summer. Friend of mine picked up a Renix for $250 with like 160K on it...previous owner replaced the entire exhaust from the (and including) cat back with flex pipe at some point. When we got the Jeep it barely had any exhaust in the section that had been replaced....all rusted away.
Whats the v-notch for on the bottom of the main section? I like it... I was planning on trussing up my 30 when I get from Andy. What size tubing did you end up using?

2"x4"x1/4" rectangle stock. I cut the bottom out. The "V" notch is to let water/mud out of it. I plan on 2" welds spaced evenly every 2" all the way around.
My 8.25 is done as well. Nitro Gear 4.88's, YUKON shafts, Aussie Locker and RuffStuff truss. Here is a picture before it was complete, I need to make some new pics. The truss looks huge but it really isn't as big as it looks LOL!
ah college dorms lol... i packed a girls explorer one time for her summer trip home to florida and it looked about like that but add alittle more in the front passenger seat as well
I just got flashbacks. Blake, I had the same experience moving my ex-girlfriend back to FL in her explorer from AU. The explorer was packed just like that with the front seat packed too. I had a mattress tied to the roof and 2 cats in crates stacked on top of the center console.
One of them was fine, the other was screaming and pissed off the entire ride down. I kept the radio off hoping they would fall asleep with no luck. The little bastard figured out how to reach his arm out of the crate and slice me with its claws. I spent the whole ride in a packed car with a mattress parachute on the roof, sitting sideways pressed against the door trying to stay out of that little cats reach. No radio and a screaming cat, only at one point was there silence for about a minute and a half. Then it started flipping out in the crate and it was like somebody was flicking water around in the car. The damn thing had pissed and crapped in the crate!! so now I have cat urine on me and the seat of the car and a shart smell in the vehicle.
My ex-gfriend was driving my jeep at the time and following me. We pulled over and I gave her the crate and said do something with this with this. Well apparently she didn't like my tone and was already in a bad mood because the AC vents in my jeep were only working from the dash board.
