Weekend is over...what did you get done?

hammer+screwdriver.... drive out nutcerts and use regular old bolts, nover failed..... if you have the stock rear swaybar brackets off the springs they make great free bar pin eliminators.... im runnin em on the wag :D

I broke the axle side bolt not the body side. That's a good idea on the rear sway brakets though!!

Yep! You should've brought the CJ down. By thew way, shoot me a PM, I might've found you and S10 for all the parts you need.

Believe me I would have. but the driveshaft issue pissed me off, and the rain. Oh and I had one day at home! It'll happen soon enough I hope.

So what let go on the DS? When I got my XJ, the front Ujoint was so loose, when I unbolted it, it fell out...there were no needle bearings in the caps...it was making a good bit of noise too:scared: I was concerned I was going to lose it going down the road, but didn't.

i had that problem like crazy myself for a while. it started with axle wrap.
i had to fix the yoke first, though. i welded a piece of steel there and ground it down till it looked like the other side. it turns out though, that you can get a yoke pretty cheap, or maybe even free on here....

Finished converting to an open cooling system, installed a new Zj fan clutch. Installed my adjustable UCAs, IRO adj Track bar, and Acos so now I'm about 6 inches. Went OTK with both the DL and TR, also built a beefier tie rod. Installed a 35 tooth speedo gear that I was lucky enough to find at the JY, now my speedo is dead on with 33s and 4.10s.

Yeah I'm flying home tomorrow and going to the PAP near the house friday if I can to try to get a yoke. I really need that thing fixed for 2 reasons.

Was that front or rear DS?? I've got a D30 yoke you can have....

But it's got a bolt broken off in it...with 2 EZ outs broken off in it....:scared:

Just installed two new unit bearings on the Teal Bitch. Got em cheap from Amazon, $82 bucks shipped to my house in two days. now my wheels dont feel like they are about to fall off.

Easy swap out, bout 1.5 hours taking a few smoke breaks along the way. Air tools are wonderful.

12 hours of working on project proposals, 3D drawings in SolidWorks, and other stupid homework was how I spent my day.

Had dinner with the GF and went over to a friend of ours house to play with their new puppy. While we were there my buddy made a smart ass joke about me having another girlfriend to which my girlfriend laughed and said "oh I already know Tim has another girlfriend, his Jeep!"

She's learning well...:D

Totally bummed out from yesterday. My sister picked me up in my XJ and it's making a noise. She didn't know what it is so when I got home I popped the hood. It sounds like something is loose in the #1 or #2 cylinder area. Need to really figure it out BUT can't because I need to get the other XJ going so I can tow the CJ! And I have til tomorrow to do what I need to do.
It's great to be home though

Yesterday I went to LKQ and picked up a transfercase, V8 TRE, and a headlight switch for a friends car. Walked out paying $150 (and got 14 of that back)! Went to the parts house and picked up fluids, oil filter, new TRE, and a valve cover gasket. Got the old transfercase out, the correct sensors switched over, and fumbled around with a LP d30 i was going to use as a temporary. Got a-hold of a buddy who have gears for my HP, and traded him the LP for them. Also picked up a spare throttle body to bore out. Work continues on the XJ tomorrow.
