Weekend is over...what did you get done?

It may be the middle of the week but this past weekend I accomplished...

Burning up my alternator and my starter, blew out the main seal in my power steering box, and now have a clunking in my left front.....Those damn mud holes are too tempting sometimes. That is the first and last time I drive through one balls to the wall hahaha

yeah, you'll learn, brotha. i think every xj guy i know has been there and done that one...
well i found out that all my waggy needs is a gear that goes on the end of the camshaft, and the one in my old motor is in good shape. i'm gonna start takin the old motor apart tomorrow, and try to see what a pain it will be to swap this gear over.
scha-wing!!!

great buy!:yelclap: one thing DO NOT put a big power chip on it.

the 05 we put on a intake. exhust and EDGE programer. well after 3 turbos and 2 head jobs in 90k mi. we sold the truck.

Did it have the 6.0??? If so, the problem was not with the power chip at all, the 6.0 was a major lemon of an engine. I worked for a Ford Dealership and we put 5 turbos and three EGR Coolers on the same truck before having to replace all of the injectors. How can an EGR Cooler work when it is mounted UNDER the turbo?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Just a junk engine, IMHO!!!:soapbox:

yeah they both do. but the BIG problems started after we put the chip on it. but yeah the 6.0 is not the best diesel.

Drove up to mom's for an eye doctor appointment in Winston this afternoon...took all freakin afternoon to get the mess straightened out. Spent this evening working on my step sister's Malibu as she's leaving to go to Wilmington next week for school. Did an oil change and a full tune up...poor car has had a hard life. 5 years of lack of oil changes and regular maint. are beginning to catch up with it.

This weekend will be good for me. After I fly to WV I get to tow "Ole Blue" to TN and into my garage for a teardown and rebuild. Stoked. And Ilove my 95 2 door! 260K miles and it still runs great.

Got a call this morning from one of my roommates that he's wanting to move out (as do I) of our current apartment due to the kinds of people that are moving in for this coming year, and the way the complex is going downhill in a hurry. So I spent today trying to figure out the cheapest way to get out of my lease here and drove around looking for some other places to live.

Ive already read about the problems...best thing to do is an EGR delete, and get an sct tuner with custom tunes. already on my list of things to do

hey there's a full set of bfgoody all-terrains on a comanche at pullapart right now!! they'll be there a while, too, because they have locknutz on the rims! somebody get a lock-lug removal tool and snag them!! these tires look great, especially the back 2, and the fronts are about 75% at least! get 'em get 'em get 'em!!! 15 bucks apiece!!! also there is a fullsize cherokee chief there, if anybody wants some dana 44 with 4.10 gears, or a 360, 4 speed, or a dana 300! it's been a while since p-a-p has had anything worth snaggin... i jacked the cherokee chief emblems which are sweet!
oh yeah there are a few cj's, mail jeeps and comanche's there... cash for clunkers? i'm not sure...
