Weekend is over...what did you get done?

I got the front axle installed, rear main seal, oil pan gasket, and timing cover gasket replaced. Man it's nice getting back on the jeep and getting some work done.

Today: Removed the rear swaybar, extended the front brake lines by bending the originals down and securing with zip ties, bent down the tabs under the UCA's, cleaned the engine and waterproofed all the electrical connections under hood and under the vehicle with dielectric grease...fun.

I replaced my cracked OEM exhaust manifold with a Rugged Ridge Header.

8 hours of pure hell. lol

I know it's not XJ related so don't flog me. I just wanted to share what I've been doing, too :)

Only part of this was done this past weekend:

1970 Ford F100 shortbed Custom, 360/3 speed manual

This is where we started (after pulling the engine, trans & front clip off)

Firewall sanded & primed, frame rails media blasted and painted

Doing a power disk brake conversion on the front. The spindles are at the machine shop being pressed & reamed for the kingpins. Backing plates are painted, along with the new calipers. Will be painting the brake booster this weekend and hopefully we'll have it sitting back on all fours by Sunday. Just ordered a complete wiring harness from Painless to replace the crusty 37 year old wiring. Ordered new coils yesterday to replace the worn & mismatched units up front. We'll need to buy some new leaves for the back, too. They're about as shot as you can get :tear:

Oh yeah, I forgot the best part:

Rebuilt Hesco 460 w/ceramic coated Hedman headers, polished Holley 4160, polished FRPP aluminum valve covers, Weiand Stealth intake, and a C6 automatic. Will be doing ladder bars, 31 spline shafts, 3.20-ish gears and a limited slip for the 9" out back, mini tubs and Drag Radials on 15x10 steelies out back with the current 15x7's up front. We'll be keeing the dogdish hubcaps, too :loveu:

Watched them drain the big pond and helped another uncle fix a hydrolic line on his track hoe. Oh yea, I drank some flying dog too.

97-99....preferably 99 and would love a limited if I can find one.

I'm not picky...I just know what I want this time :)

Besides fighting a cold....I tried to burn it out of me by working!

Motor mounts in waggy along with putting more of the motor together.

On the XJ I fabbed up in about 8 hrs v1.5 of my front bumper. See my other thread for details: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=965842

Oh yeah and had three Egyptian hotties visit this weekend. So we showed them the a good time! :D

spent all weekend in destin and watched the massive waves from the condo this morning while the hurricane passed

Went out and partied a little Friday night, drove up to Winston yesterday to celebrate my step dad and step bro's bdays this weekend at Olive Garden....stayed up till about 4am this morning trying to change a CPS on a friends XJ, got that changed and the Jeep back running again...just needs a new EGR valve now to hold an idle.

Woke up at 8am this morning, drove back to Charlotte for the auto fair up at the speedway...and here I sit now, sick to my stomach from the KFC I just ate, and trying to finish up my homework that's due tomorrow.

Went out at midnight, investigated a rape case. None occurred. Got home at 0330, went to bed. Got up at 0730 had coffee, got called to a business burglary, stolen food? Got home at 1130, was called again at 1132. Processed a stolen Cadillac: found in a ditch 15 miles out of town: got boyfriends hat, car keys and fingerprints where he crawled out the window. Dealt with one pissed off girlfriend after she saw the car. Now I’m home awaiting yet another weekend call and sharing these newsworthy events with the members and guest of NAXJA, before I tell the chief! (Public record, so please don’t feel too privileged) Still looking for the drug dealer Ghost!:patriot:

Finished the cage, exhaust, seats, trimming... and more on High2by's Jeep. This thing is going to be bad when it's done.
