Weekend is over...what did you get done?

I competed my Jeep at Gulches this weekend. Managed to break a passenger side ujoint and both shafts but still managed to finish the course while breaking in style! Got home and unloaded it off the trailer and as I was backing it into the parking spot next to my other XJ the passenger side wheellfell off. Broke the damn ball joints!

Went camping on Carolina Beach NC / Freeman Park. Was a good weekend

installed a new to me Nate's 4x4 rear bumper, ZJ gas tank skid, and reinstalled my hitch in the process...
and also helped install a set of bush wacker flares on a buddy's XJ

Where in Charlotte are you? I think I may have seen you around town at some point.

As for my weekend, did a transmission fluid and filter change on the Chevy TWICE, then cleaned up the Jeep Saturday including organizing everything in the back, went to a tractor pull Saturday night in Winston, and work in Charlotte on Sunday.

I gotta admit those yellow straps are very flashy. Glad to know you can do mechanic work next time I have a body panel fall off I am calling you. :clap: :laugh2: Oh yeah you need to finish painting that cage the pink is still showing by the pad. LOL You need any help getting it together give me a shout.

Those straps are the only thing, besides the plugs for the headlights, holding the header panel on. :laugh:

Plus as a bonus they keep the branches away too!! :moon:

I am in Waxhaw but have put a lot of miles on it around Charlotte. I usally leave the racks on top to help locate it in parking lots Freeman Park is great fun, have you ever ventured out there? We try to get out there 4 or 5 times a year.

Ahhhh gotcha. Not familiar with Freeman Park....don't get to get out and wheel very often....or at all hardly for that matter. Holler at me when you're out in the University Area sometime...i'm always up for meeting new people!

wasn't this weekend, but the thursday before it...

anyways, i replaced the rear main seal... not too bad of a job really. i'd say i had about 4 hours of work involved. i just followed 5-90's instructions and it was straight forward...

I had to go to Atlanta for Monday so we (wife and twin boys that are 10) went to Aiken to stay at my parents house there. Was late getting there Friday so I went to bed. Saturday morning I went fishing, nothing was biting! cought a Bass about the size of a frying pan. Went back to the house, Saw a deer driving in the driveway in the middle of the day, baked the bass for lunch with lemon juice and pepper. HMMMMMM! Messed around th house and farm riding the 3 wheeler. Then later took one of the boys fishing. Again we cought nothing except a couple minnows for bass. Sunday we cleaned up and headed to Atlanta. Monday had the apt with the DR in atlanta and drove back to Aiken, dropped the wife and kids there. She was not feeling well so I headed on home to Hartsville. Was a fun weekend and a good time at the old home place!

well since today is my friday i'll let everyone know what I'm doing this weekend. I am flying out, early tomorrow morning, to Colorado. We will be doing some whitewater rafting, along with hiking Pike's Peak. I just have to make it through work tonight! Will be back on Monday.

This weekend....probably just workin and hangin out for a change.

i tore down my 4.3L in preperation for machining and a rebuild saturday morning... and went night wheeling at Aetna Mt. in my buddy's CJ2A... a pretty fun filled weekend for me...
