Weekend is over...what did you get done?

AOP races are where it's at. Drivers are putting more on the line there because they are paying way more than SRRS is. I may go in 2 weeks.

Its 3.5 hours from the house though. I might try to go to one this fall if they are still around.

Glad to know that, now that sounds even better. Are the rigs the same caliber or are they more rickety?

Had a great time, thanks for the invite Brandon!

94, toss a cherry bomb on it and don't look back. I used to rip off spamcan mufflers a few times a year, haven't ripped my cherry bomb off yet.

I put a flange just upstream of the muffler so I can swap mufflers/tailpipes for inspection, they're picky about exhaust mods up here :gee:

I did nothing to the Jeep, again. Drove all over the country side to round up parts for the Jeep though. Maybe next weekend I'll actually get to install them.

Don't forget the Banjo music! :conceited

Went to my Parent's house near Aiken, SC with one of my twins for his 16 birthday! Took some of his friends. We rode around and shot guns and went fishing. My Aunt gave me a truckload of Oak to burn. I just had to cut it up. All in all a decent weekend. I guess turning 16 boys automatically get attitude.... I think he might need an adjustment!

"But I didn't play in the mud! It was HIM!"

Yep! Glenn did. He was driving. Ben did not go with us.

Nice!! Sounds like they're enjoying it!! Just wait till they start asking about long arms and lockers lol, my dad just kinda looked at me funny when I asked him, but he doesn't get the whole Jeep thing, he's never owned anything modified beyond exhaust really

So far he's mashed the bumper in, crushed the rocker, and now high centered.

Like father, like son :D

Looks good! You coming to the crawl in that thing? I know there will be other TJ and LJ's there..... And even a Grand..... :helpme:

As a matter of fact I am coming this year, just finished registering, and all paid up. Imma put a tent right next to you or somewhere. How about them apples folks!:D

That works!

Does anyone know if the rear star washer in a SYE acts a seal on the splines and yoke or if it just a washer? Mine is leaking at the splines and JB conversions hasn't been any help.

I couldn't get the nut to stay torqued on mine with the star washer in place. First thing - the star washer goes on, THEN the yoke goes on, else the fingers on the star washer can get stuck under the nut.

It's supposed to be the seal.

But like I said, I couldn't get mine to stop leaking and loosening up, so I pulled the star washer back out, blitzed the area with some brakleen, let it dry, pooped a ton of red RTV on the threads and base of the inside of the yoke where the nut seats on it, then put my 3/4" breaker bar and pipe wrench on it with it laying on the shop floor and gave it every bit of force I could muster. It hasn't come loose again since then.
