Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Agree with you on the PS pump.

Been a while since I got to post in here. Finally got around to doing the zj disc swap on my 8.25, Went fairly smooth. It came apart nice, axle seals, check. Had it all back together bleeding the brakes and the damn bleeder on the driver rear broke off. I had a core now, lol.
Got about 70 bucks in the swap including getting a new caliper. Just got to see about the e brake cables now.
That's about what I have into mine, and I used all junkyard parts even the pads and rotors :gag:

I thought ahead and replaced the axle tube seals ($6 total) and the bleeders (3/8-24 speed bleeders, same spec as the front ones on an XJ, just have to shave the bleeder port mounting boss down about a mm with the dremel before installing them) while I was doing the swap. I can't stand bleeding brakes without speed bleeders anymore.

Here is how I did my e-brake cables; Pick up two 1/8" cable clamps, drill the e-brake lever to accept the "U" part of the clamp, install the "U" part of the clamp and tighten it down to the stock XJ cable end. Took me about 10 min and a couple of bucks. I lock-tited the nuts so they would not back off.

Agreed completely. Well worth the little bit of coin they cost over normal bleeders.

Eventually i'm going to run my e-brake like that. Just to get it to pass inspection a couple of weeks ago, I rigged the crap out of them to just hold the line somewhat around the arm. They still don't work at all, but at least if the grease monkey (the one that drove it into the inspection bay with the alarm BLARING) yanked up on the handle, he'd feel tension and assume it worked.

I guess since im currently unemployed, every day is the weekend? Anyway, got some tubing bent today. HUGE thanks to Tyler for the hook up on the dies, thanks man!

Main pieces for the sliders bent:

LOL... shit man, I dont know? Thanks!! (I used the dustpan quite a lot today... its great for the bigger metal chunks that the notcher leaves behind :D )

I just figured the more triangles the better when it comes to cages... hence, my triangular creation you see. The center multi-point notches were a BIOTCH - but worth it.

I spy the dust pan in the third picture :) The halo is great in both ways, aesthetically but more importantly it is structurally sound. Most people don't seem to get that part...

You won't have an excuse when you go out to AZ. :)

Plus, I'm flying out to see your ass.

You think my Jeep would fit in the carry-on luggage rack?

It might if you cut a little more off it :dunno:

got a lil more lift and some 32's a couple weeks ago, but i'm still waiting on my taillight housings from rusty's.... everytime i've ordered from them before it was either same day or next day delivery! it's been 3 weeks now, and when i called last week they were still building them? i could have built my own by now! sheesh. i'm gonna call them today.

I will be hiking an old trail at Uwharrie National Forrest this weekend helping with a study to see the feasibility of opening it back up. :yelclap: Saturday night a friend from college is having a birthday party. Then Sunday it's time to get in the shop and get to cleaning and organizing so that we can move forward on the boy's MJ project. If you are in my area on Sunday feel free to come on down!

i need to go see the "Ghost Shop" one of these days.
