Yep nick was the guy that broke himself and had to be replaced. They usually do all their footage and events together. Very similar styles.

Ordered, and payed for caliper bolts. They are different sizes and one needed to be ordered as it wasn't a generic bolt.

Called today to check on the order, my two bleeder screws were in. Yes. Bleeder screws. Apparently I need two and they are different for the same exact caliper. Fml. Way to go sun. Way to go.

Dunno if I've ever mentioned it. Watch 'Long way round' if yA need a reason to go ride. Started watching it again (like the 5th time) and next year I'm sure I'm pickin up a tiger to do some long rides.

I'm 5 episodes into the long way round right now, that gets me so motivated to go on an adventure! Ewen and Charlie also made another trip and filmed it, it's called the long way down I think.

YA they went to Cape Town. Crazy events in that one too. I'm stoked for an enduro. Gonna just do a big bike (1000+) so it can handle the long trips geared up. I like the idea of the smaller bikes for the real gnar stuff but really that's not what those are meant for anyway. I love the mcgreggor trips. He's a great foreman for the riding community. All about the gear, the history, the fun factor, and the people.

Congrats on passing the road test.

I've watched Long Way Round, Long Way Down, and Race to Dakar (Charley Boorman from LWR). All great shows. I have a major desire to travel the world via motorcycle, although for me the two Long Way movies emphasize why I want a 650cc Enduro type bike over a massive GS. I'm pretty sure a DR650 lies in my future, or a KTM 690 Enduro if I can swing the money.

musta watched too much long way round and that icon raiden video too many times cause i ended up bringing this home this afternoon and putting around 50 miles on it

Yeah it's the 2014 800 abs, it handles really well, soaks up bumps really well, has a very comfortable seat and the motor is really smooth and revs up really quickly. It sucks only being able to rev it to 5 grand for the first 300 miles, then 6 grand for the next couple hundred and so on until 1000 miles get put on the bike and the motor is properly broken in.

They had a great incentive packages to sell the remaining 2014 bikes, mine was not only marked down pretty low but also came with free Aarow exhaust, led fog lights, and heated grips, all of which should be showing up in the next couple weeks. I can't wait to start putting some miles on it and see what it really has got, but first impressions are great and other then it could use a taller windscreen to keep the wind off of my helmet

Break it in hard. Factory break in is bs and robs ya. We used to break em all in hard. Change the fluid and have at it.
Super jelly dude. Those things rock.

Really? I've always ignores break in procedures on new clutches and rear end gears and stuff like that. I sually pull out of the shop/garage and do some burnouts and drive stupid immediately lol.

But to be honest I'm scared to be hard on the bike after reading triumphs strict break in procedures. This thing wasn't cheap and I plan on keeping it forever so I want to break it in the best way possible that will make it run the best and last the longest.

Not that I don't trust you mike, but anyone else have any opinions on this?

I'd love to check that Tiger out in person, I think it's a great all around bike. Congrats on the purchase.

Well, I made a deal with my buddy today to get my TTR-225 back. I'll play with it a bit and then most likely sell it off for a DR-650 or similar. I'm also pretty sure that after this summer the Jeep is going bye bye and I'll be getting a 4wd quad as well. I'm just over the Jeep and all the expense/work involved in it. I'll toss a 2" lift and 35's on my truck and use it to get to a camp site and use the dirt bike and quad to have fun with.
