I've always liked those refresher courses. Always something simple you pick up on/remember Each time through.

We've had a bunch of requirements change the past 5 years or so for us in the USMC. The BRC is a requirement, then the ERC became a requirement, then they split it into a cruiser ERC and a sportbike ARC, now it's a BRC-ARC combo for everyone, with an ARC every 3 years.

Most people bitch about taking the courses, but I spent a day on my bike instead of at work, so I don't mind and I know it saves me money on insurance and makes me a better rider.

Well been doing a little lot practice as of late. Getting a little better. Still trying to get used to a bike without a cranked up idle and giant sprocket. I'm sir choppythrottle at the moment. Lol.

I need to take the advanced rider course or at least a refresher course. Its been 3 years since I got my license and I'm sure I picked up a few bad habits.

Mike, I've never pulled a wheelie period. Not even on my dirt bikes.

I've quasi-tried a few times on the KTM 950 and 640 but I have no real clue as to how to go about it. I did accidentally get the front end up on my TTR-225 when launching on dirt, the rear tire surprisingly caught traction immediately and the front end came way up. It surprised the hell out of me and I pulled the clutch back in to get it back down. I wouldn't call it a wheelie, just a big oops that I managed to recover from.

Haha yeah and my Beamer wasn't built with wheelies in mind either, but I still wish I could. It's actually always pisses me off that I can't, I grew up riding bmx bikes and when I got my first dirt bike I was sure I was gonna be able to just wheelie for as long as I wanted. Nope. I try every now and then on my bike but it's pretty scary on the street when the front tire comes up more then like 6" lol

Haha. Yeah and you've got to have the triples/gas tank in your face on most bikes to be near balance point.
An Dutch have no fear. I've seen lots of full baggers wheelie.

All the ones I've seen wheelie were turbo charged or super charged, mine ain't.

I wan to get another dual sport and I'll learn on it. Unless you want to let me learn on your bike Mike, with those crash bars you have what could possibly happen. :D
