Toter home build

I made it over to Lowes and picked up what I need for the plumbing except I forgot to get what I need to have a city water hookup, at least I can get everything I need to to do the finish in the plumbing far enough to do the final srewdown on the floor and get everything above the floor roughed in, I will just have to wait to do the final finish on it till I pick up what I need for the city hookup. Probably be Sunday before I can mess with it, we are having a bunch of folks over tomorrow for a BBQ/poolparty.

been a busy guy this morning, got my water fill kit installed and the main lines for the faucets along with the t in the cold water line to run into the water heater, also have my city water hook up installed but may change it, I want it to sit closer to flush to the box than it does now. I am gonna have to drag my water heater up from the shop and get a list of what I need to plumb it in now. I have an access point to all the tank hook ups built into the floor now which will be inside the counter cabinet but easy to reach and work on if ever I need to. I am gonna have to sit down and make me a list of what I need to do and in what order so that I only have to do everything one time. I hate to get going on something to end up realizing I forgot something and having to go back and do it all over again. I will get some pics up later when I get further along with it.

Any more pictures of this one or a link to it?

Also, can you get Alcoas for your truck? Would look so much nicer with new wheels.

there are Alcoa's available, but since we have the "wide 8" bolt pattern and not a standard ten lug you're not going to find them used. It's big $$$$$. Some simulators will set you back about 400 bucks.

maybe i missed it, but are you putting in a toilet or shower of any sorts?

looks good so far!

At this point I am just get one of them 5 gallon portable flush toilets and it will sit in the garage area for the wife to use in the middle of the night, most of the places I go have nice bathrooms anyways, I do plan to put an outside shower for rinsing off when I stay somewhere that does not have showers.

Real women can pee outdoors like we do , lol.

out of curiousity, why didn't you put the water tanks underneath the box? i gotta imagine there's a ton of room under there. i guess that makes them more vulnerable, but plastic fuel tanks hold up fine, so i'd imagine a simple skid plate would suffice.

By framing them in the floor, I did not have to make any kind of straps or framework to mount them, plus being on the inside there is less chance of them freezin up when I take it out in the winter since I will have the interior heated

Today I am gonna see what I need to do to get the water heater ready, someone cut the upper hot water outlet nipple. I am hoping it is threaded in like a regular hot water heater nipple. If so it will be an easy fix, if not then I will have to find a compression fitting for it. Once I get that worked out I can finish the plumbing for the hot water.

Well the nipple is solid mounted to it, I did not find anything that would work compression fitting wise, gonna take over to the local plumber and see if he has any ideas or can tap some new theads onto what is still sticking out. I did pick up the wood for the front of my counter though and got it simi framed in to start figuring out where I can fit doors and drawers on it. Just came in from sweating my but off, once I cool down I will take some pics

You putting in a fridge or just using cooler? Shower, stove, propane plumbing, heater?

I am just gonna put the old Ice box from my slide in for it now, I will be making the front 2.5' of the counter front go to the ceiling. This will allow me to put the same size fridge or taller in later when I do find a 2 or 3 way, I plan to put an outdoor shower on it for the times I go somewhere that does not have showers. I am putting in a double stainless sink to the rear end of the counter and the stove/oven will be next to the fridge. I will be mounting the propane which will be accessable from the outside below the fridge with the batteries in the inside below the fridge. I also have a furnace unit and rooftop AC unit for it. The front loft will be my sons bed and I will be building a rear wall at the end of the floor with another loft that will go back from there over the hood of the buggy when it is loaded for my wife and I to use as our bed area. I will have an L shaped dinnett area on the passenger side front for 3. I will also be doing overhead cabinets for additional storage area

You've come a long way since you're 2003 setup:
