Things my rig needs before FF...

Finally started ticking items off my list this weekend. Got the LCA mini-skids and rear frame stiffeners welded on. Still to go are the front stiffeners, mod the JKS trackbar to double shear, install trackbar mount and brace, make the gas tank skid work with my rear bumper tie-ins and shackle relocators, replace the pinion and axles seals on the D30, flush the cooling system and make sure the radio stops cutting out before I hit the road.

Yikes.

Last weekend:
Fixed leaking down pipe
Re-installed exhaust
Installed some dynamic balancing media in my tires
Finished the bracket for my Sanden doubler (AC and Air, FTW!)

Must do:
Safety and Registration
Install 2nd Sanden
Relocate washer fluid reservoir
Relocate antifreeze overflow
Alignment

Want to:
Install air quick-connect on rear bumper
Install AGR power steering pump and remote reservoir
Install LED rock lights
Install new hatch struts
Add manual switch for aux fan
Hood vents
Stroke to 4.7

Hmmmm, that last one might have to wait for the 35 year anniversary!
:D

R&R Cooling system
Swap exhaust header
Tires-Found a used set of KM2s Tires mounted and balanced
Find the creak/squeak in the front end Not the front drive shaft, front brake pads are fine
fix radio any recommendations for an inexpensive, in-dash stereo with an AUX input for an MP3 player
Remount HAM antenna
Mount mini Cobra CB
Find 5x5.5 wheel for trailer spare
mount stock rear bumper or build new bumper with integrated hitch

For the radio, I got a dual at wall Martinez some years back. It has been good for a cheap radio so far. Otherwise hit up fry's

I need a good permanent mount antenna for my 2 meter radio, suggestions? Have magnet mount if I have too...

Your cheerleader Jeep makes it harder. The NMO is great in XJs, I have one in the center of the roof of both of mine.

An old fashioned ball mount on your left quarter panel may be the best bet. Keep it in line with your mirror and you should be able to keep an eye on it / not rip it clear off.

Green Jeep: Rebuild front suspension and axle

Black Jeep:
Replace master cylinder (hey that went out on the way to the 25th!)
Replace engine & dash wiring harness, melted into a solid glob last wheelin trip

Mary's White Jeep: Fill up the gas tank

I think I'll rent from Farabee's this year :gonnablow

Surprised no one has started one of these yet.

My list...

Yellow Jeep.
Spring perches cut off and new ones installed.
Cut and rotate one knuckle back 1.5 degrees.
Figure out a different shock mount on my rear axle.
Install CB between heater controls and stereo.

Green Jeep.
Install 99 intake and header
Install CB, same place as Yellow Jeep maybe.
Figure out why spare is always flat yet no one can find a leak.
No longer own this one...scratch a big part off my list

Trailer.
Install new aluminum hoop for the door on ARB tent.
Done
try to figure out how to use the U-bolt plates on the bottom of the axle even though it's sprung over...so I can install shocks again.
Pull brakes and pack wheel bearings.
Done
Wire up a longer pig tail so I can use the hitch extension I bought. Make it easier to open my swing out tire carrier without hitting the battery box on the nose of the trailer.

Man I'm lazy.

Got a bit of check over work done yesterday at the SoCal Tech Day since I used it as the project vehicle.

On the list for the red Jeep now:

Figure out my charging quiver, resolve.
Wash inside of windows.
Clean and tidy cabin.
Possibly change master cylinder.
Fill CO2 tanks.

I seemingly fixed my charging system issue. I had a quiver at higher RPMs. Turns out it was a wiring issue. I cleaned up some unnecessary wiring (removing the old Mobi-Arc loom since that's dead) and did a *much* needed full clean out of the bulkhead connector (behind fuse block). After cleaning that bulkhead I gained about 0.8 - 1 volt on the +12VDC ignition circuit under the hood KOEO!
