The Official CraigsList Thread...

I do. This comes from continued and personal experience of watching them fail time and time again. My neighbor and myself both have gone the cheap route and learned the hard way. The Chicago winch I owned failed on its first use while pulling a buddy out of a mud pit up in Big Bear. The electric silenoid thing crapped out. I returned the winch and got another one which died its second time in use while I pulled myself out of a snow burm at the end of my driveway by strapping to a tree. My neighbors died in Moab on him and was replaced with another one that died soon after. The cable, main body, and motor all seemed sturdy and decent quality but the electrical components were crap. It might be able to be turned into a good winch with some upgrades. I also went with the 8,000lb version. Maybe the 10,000 one has a different system. I have no experience with that winch. The only positive thing that came from it was that I was able to get more money when I sold my TJ because it has that piece of crap winch on it. The buyer (who was clueless) was so excited that it had a winch. I informed him of it's quality but he didn't seem to care. I think he just wanted a Mall cralwer that LOOKED cool.

I HATE it when people do that... "tags" and "keywords" have no place in an ad, if you don't need to mention it in the body of the ad IT IS NOT RELEVANT! :smsoap:

Geoff someone just showed me two 85's with the million slot grill your red jeep has, I'm trying to get my hands on the grills off of them as both jeeps are in piss poor shape.

Yeah, that's a classy DD for sure...

Very nice looking; I love the dark blue, though it's a b!tch to maintain. I've had two suprisingly clean mini-Waggys--an 87 white/beige and an 86 black/burgundy (gag). Both were all leather (no cloth inserts like this one has) with a D44 and tow package, though. The '86 was an oddball, actually had the 4.0/AW4 in it from the factory; it was one of the first few produced, made in late 1985 I think.

When my ex- and I split in 2002, we fought more over who got to keep the Waggys than who got which furniture or what money, or the kids... it was sad, because we ended up having to sell them (the Waggies, not the kids) as they became the "irreconcilable differences" issue.

You'd have been better off keeping the Waggys and selling the kids ;)
