THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

my mom used to baby sit dogs for extra $$ for a few years from when my and my sister were little, probably like 3-4 years .. she stopped sometime when i was like 9 or 10. she's always had cats, i always said i was allergic, she never believed me. when i left for college i discovered you can actually use both nostrils at the same time, and having sinus headaches all the time isnt normal. then i got my own health insurance and when to an allergist... guess what? im intensely allergic to cats.

**** cats. my dog is my best friend.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

she got big! my little dude has settled at a comfortable 55lbs.
She should settle in somewhere around 70-75lbs I think.

No defensiveness (?) intended

I would love a dog right now and already talked to Kate about it but we agreed to wait a bit.

Tiki has been settled at ~92 lbs for a long while. I already told my parents I'm going to steal her when they're not looking.

Get through the wedding and have fun with that then get a dog.
I love having Riley around but I'm glad we waited until after the wedding.

THe exposed drums are a contingency plan. If you have a flat you can just take off the wheel and drive on those.

Look at it!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

wow, and seeing her i thought she'd be the same size as mine. all the vets said he'd be around 60-70 but he hit 55 and pretty much stopped lol.

It was a gamble since we don't really know her breed and the best guesses from the vet when we got her was a Border Collie (27-45lbs) / Great Pyrenees (80-90) mix. So we had quite the gap.
On the other hand my parents got what was supposed to be lab mix and he can't get over 22lbs.

All that matters to us is the dog has a good temperament, isn't afraid of the water, and can manage a hike or walk without having to be one of those "purse dogs".

If I ever finish my house I'm joining the cat hoarder club with billyjp2

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

still not sure what dex is... when we adopted him they said pointer mix, i didnt really see it since he has short ears. but he is definitely part bird dog now that he has matured a bit, whenever he sees birds, he looks at me and sometimes points to the birds, and when i give him the ok he flushes them and then runs back to me looking for approval. never taught him any of that lol. that and maybe some sort of terrier.... we lucked out, he has a great personality.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Speaking of dogs. Cassie has a heart murmur (irregular heartbeat), but the vet says that is the least of her worries. She has been having bladder problems the past couple weeks and it is either a kidney infection or kidney failure. She is on some medicine right now. If it clears up within 4 weeks it means the infection is gone, if it doesn't it means her kidneys are failing and she wont be around much longer.

Yea dogs are great, until they get sick and you have to go through the thought of losing them and ultimately losing them.

Sorry for being so morbid lol.

yep. I've only ever had big dogs, and they don't stay around as long. In a way I think it's a good thing, because there isn't as much time to get attached. Never easy though that's for sure...

It teaches kids about death too but it SUCKS no matter how you look at it.
I only like city dogs, I could NEVER own a country dog.

I'm wicked allergic to pretty much every animal unless it's hairless. So Nicole and I got a cat less than a month after moving in together. Now we're adopting a pup on Monday.
