Well...I'd disagree with that part. As Bill said I use the truck/trailer for far more than just wheeling trips, so it's never a big deal for me. And I've never 'not done' a wheeling trip just because I had to trailer the rig somewhere (and actually, worked out better in a lot of cases, where I'd trailer it *to* somewhere then drive it around all weekend).
Mostly it's a matter of logistics, especially with the racing stuff. For a pure rec-wheeling weekend I'd be much more inclined to leave the tow rig at home.
I'm also far less picky about what I drive on the street than most of you (with the exception of Sam).
. No worrying about parking a tow rig and trailer, don't need a big tow rig, don't have to load and unload. The trailer thing just seems to tie you down and every trip now becomes a project.
