THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think its like 30 bucks for 50# bag, dropping names will get you past that whole 'restricted chemical' issue should it arise

Axles show up yet?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah he dropped em off Saturday. I gotta hit home depot tomorrow for some grinding drums.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

true story? explain?

Apply everything you know about the 88-90 and subtract the knock sensor module. The need to have desolder and solder in a socket if you want to program disappears because it is already removable. Has an option for a manual transmission already in it, can control fans, do mpfi if you want, plus the system is already made for a heated o2 sensor which everyone swaps in anyway.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

cool deal. id just like to make sure it will bolt to older heads/block

worst case scenario i could just swap the whole motor i suppose.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Have to walk to the train and take it to school tomorrow and fix my jeep in order to drive it home tomorrow. There's nothing I hate more than public transportation.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

drove the vw today, started hearing a clunk in the jeep driving home from mtbing and didnt feel like checking it out at 8 and i was hungry. no more radiator leak though, i guess when i topped off the overflow the radiator got really full so it only leaks out of the top right corner... whatevs. probably need to do a rear main seal soon though, are those as bad as everyone says?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

They're not bad. But I'd check the oil filter o-rings and valve cover gasket first to rule those out. Both cheap. VC gasket is stupid easy to do, oil filter o-rings are a minor PITA. Hell sometimes the rear bolts on the VC are just loose to begin with.

Use a brass punch so you don't score the crank.

Make sure you get the rubber/metal oil pan gasket

Make sure it's a double lip rear main seal.

Make sure you put the seal in the right way.

Make sure you RTV where the seals touch each other.

If the crank is already scored, it's going to leak no matter what.

doesnt sound terrible, and at 6" lift the oil pan has plenty of room. the VC and o-rings are fine, did those on my 93.. nbd. this one only leaks out the RMS. the leak isn't bad volume wise.. but hot damn my leaf spring hangers are greasy.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Make sure you use a little rtv to hold the rubber gasket in place. I didn't and ended up just selling my jeep to billy because of it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Off to pay good money to sit on a train with a bunch of dickheads and have to walk a total of a mile. Then figure out what's wrong with my shit box. I spent last night looking up what can cause backfiring it can be like 20 XXXXing things. You better believe I might just junk it

check fuel pressure? I had a weak fuel pump once and it caused my jeep to sputter and backfire at 2-3k rpms but for some weird reason i would get past that and it would be fine.
