DWE has a good amount of wheeling scheduled this summer. And if it get badthat I need to go I'm sure Ross and Johnny will hit some class 6's with me. There will be another NAC fest next year too. And maybe I'll make this Rocktoberfest.

My tube clamp from Ballistic that I use for my hydroassist ram started moving in the last race. I had to get out and realign everything. F that, shit's welded now. :laugh:

What I would do is buy one foot of McMaster #8705K761, cut spacers of the appropriate length, and limit the ram internally.

I won't be racing anytime soon.

I'll buy that and do it after NACfest.

After it slipped once during the race (which was the first time I even used the damn thing), it never stayed tight again. I think the bore got scored or something. I ended up just putting a little bead of weld on either side of it instead of welding the clamp itself.

Point being, that was slipping with a little 1.5" ram pushing it. On yours, blocked up against the larger diameter of the clevis ends would be OK...the internal spacers are just a more economical and tidy way of doing it.

Yeah I plan on doing that when I get back to NACfest, but I'm in a serious time crunch right now and don't have the time to disassemble a ram even if it only takes me 1-2 hours to do the whole thing from start to finish.

so we were having an 'elevated' discussion at work about what qualifies someone as an actor, so i was like "i was on mtv and hosted an mtv news segment, does thats makes me as much as an actor as that guy" (the guy we were talking about who has some dumb 'plays himself' role in a howard stern movie) and the other dude fires off all pissed like "yea ok on spring break whatever i'm going to lunch" so i say to myself, ok, it's on.

i pulled the video up and showed everyone in the office and he was the only one who didnt watch. call me, the duke of ownage.

Nah im gonna do it at the house...the clamp i got for the tierod sat in the perfect spot and barely missed the diff cover when lock to lock either direction. But im not sure if the new ram will have the same dimensions so for the sake of getting shit done i might weld the tabs right to the tierod, which would be way easier to do at the house. Im hoping to get up there by 9 or 10 though, not too terrible

.!.:D.!. I leave the house before the post office is open and I get home after it is closed. I haven't had a chance to get it shipped yet.

I have to go to UPS or FedEx or something this wkend to ship out my broken monitor so I will try and throw it in a box while I'm out taking care of that.
