Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i figured that went without saying

I like having my steering turn when I need it to and not just bend my frame.

:D

i like making my frame strong so it doesnt bend.

but whatever. go build your big, dumb, weak-ass pussy jeep and make everything rely on fluid

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

30 minutes left until I get the hell out of here. My boss left at noon so I could really leave now but figure an extra 30 min won't kill me.

So my boss did brakes on his sons car over the weekend. Took the thing for a test drive and it was fine. Parked the car in the driveway and now it won't drive... it starts fine (well, needs a jump but idk if that was user error or not), once jumped it idles fine, it revs fine in neutral and park, but once he puts it in gear it won't rev or move.

I didn't know what to tell him. Apparently he came into the office today just to pick my brain and see if I knew what was wrong. I guess he forgot that phones exist :dunno:

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

partaaaay tonight

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

im gonna laugh when colins and bills jeep die on the trail and there left without steering

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't get this mentality?

I can turn my 40s easier with my MJ OFF then I could turn the 35s in my XJ with the engine off.

:dunno:
i was always under the impression that with full hydro with the engine not running you have no steering, maybee im just a idiot that knows nothing

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't know much about them either, but there's no air in the system so when you turn the wheel the fluid has to go somewhere.

There's just no pump providing pressure to make it easier.

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

.!.:D.!. I leave the house before the post office is open and I get home after it is closed. I haven't had a chance to get it shipped yet.

I have to go to UPS or FedEx or something this wkend to ship out my broken monitor so I will try and throw it in a box while I'm out taking care of that.

maybe ill take your adress and number and pick it up tomorrow. lol

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Will you come to my break in run and force me to jump it?

skydriving contest. you vs me. neither of us will win, only the spectators.

partaaaay tonight

o rly?

i'm only busting balls. but you dont need the pump running to steer?

Re: The NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I can steer, but it's obviously not as easy as if the engine is running.

It's definitely easier than having a steering box with the engine off.

I thought that was the plan last weekend. And feel free to stop by whenever if you are down this way. I would offer to ride up your direction but the bike isn't really giving me warm fuzzy feelings lately so idk if I want to put more miles than I need to on it until I figure out whats going wrong.

If you are going to stop by tomorrow just let me know tonight... If I don't hear from you I will go ahead with the plan and try and get it in the mail ASAP tomorrow...
