THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ew, thats like eating air. whole wheat only please
Whole wheat and oatmeal are my favorites for just a regular sammich.
Damn, I couldn't drink a 12-pack of anything throughout one day. Even working outside on trailers.

The most I could do is 3 bottles of water MAX.

I fit all my crap in a little blue cooler bag thing. Occasionally I'll hit the store here for a bag of chips/candy bar or something.
I don't bring a 12 pack :roflmao: It's usually a couple tupperware containers, a yogurt, some fruit, 3-5 water bottles, maybe a bag of cheezits.

My old lunchbox's zipper burst because I kept trying to overfill it (It was also 12 years old...) When I got the new one I intentionally bought an absurdly large one. I've come close to filling it once or twice, but I've never had it stuffed to the brim like the other one.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i usually go to the cafe across the street and hit on the cute girls and get free food

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I work in a restaurant so i just stuff my face with whatever whenever i want for free.

it gets old sometimes though, i try not to eat there too much

I used to do that at Town Spa.

Someone would fake call-in an order of buff chix or something.

We'd wait about 20 minutes before no one showed up to claim it then down it.

What do you bring the tupperware for?

I fit 1-2 sandwiches, 1-2 water bottles, ice pack, fruit, yogurt, chips in my bag. It could barely hold a six pack of soda cans. Nothing gets squished or broken either.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah i take that back, not whole wheat ONLY. i like bread with flavor and some content to it. my mom got some flaxseed grain bread of some sort, that was pretty tasty.

It's not always a sandwich that I bring - often leftovers, in fact. The leftovers usually end up in a container about 2-3x the size of a sandwich tupperware too. Sometimes there's things I want to keep separate till I eat them. Like yesterday I had a chicken salad sandwich on oatmeal bread with fresh cut tomatoes. Didn't want the bread to get soggy from sitting pre-made so I brought a 3 individual containers...

I like to put sandwiches in tupperware because a) they don't get squished and b) the sandwiches I make don't fit in sandwich size Ziploc bags.

There's usually a lot of room left over in the bag, but that's fine with me. I don't care if takes up a little extra space in the passenger footwell :laugh3:

I elect that we collectively design a time machine to send Bill back to the 1950s where he belongs. Who here is with me?

I bet he's already made it. Where do you think he's going tonight? When he plays cards with those older guys it's in 1956 and he's in heaven.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

what do you usually bring, i cant find anything for less then 5$ a day? peanut butter and jelly but it takes me 3 sandwiches to fill me up. so i usually just do subway.
Depends on what was on sale at the deli.
Usually ham, roast beef, pastrami with American or Munster.

Or like this week until today I was eating a 1/4" slice of Easter ham, with lettuce a touch of mayo between rye/pumpernickel bread.

Add a sandwhich bag full of chips and a water.
My 'brown bag' lunch is a cooler designed to hold a 12 pack with room to spare.

Eating a big meal for <<$5 is hard to do even if you prepapre your own food. You might get down to $3.50 if you drink tap water.
I know I'm going to get comments on this for prices again, but taken from S&S prices from your area this week:

2 loafs Market brand Rye/wheat/whole grain bread : $4.98
2lb of Deli American cheese : $11.98
1lb of Deli Maple Gazed Ham : 8.99
1lb of Deli Roast Beef Italian: $7.49
1 head of lettuce : $1.79
30oz of Helman's Mayo : $4.79
10oz of Dijon Mustard: $2.29
2 bags of Lays chips : $5
100 ct paper bags: $2
32 pack of 16oz bottles of water : $4.99

That above works for three people for the week. 15 meals, so $3.62 per day. It is really even less because you don't buy mayo, mustard, 32 waters, or 100 bags every week.

What brought this on now?
That would be cool for awhile though.

Yeah I've carried all of the above in mine as well. If my mom makes hamburger helper or something, I steal some the next morning and put it in a decent sized tupperware container that contains enough to fill me by itself.

I probably wouldn't want a bigger one mostly because I'm usually carrying my laptop bag as well as other stuff and it's not exactly a short walk from the parking lot to my cube (several hundred feet).

I require more than 1 sandwich and 1 bag of chips for lunch.

Add in an apple, yogurt, and oatmeal bar per day.

If I eat here for lunch I spend about $6-7 but I'm FULL until I go home.

Granny Smith Apple: $0.69
Yogurt : $0.69
Granola/ Oatmeal bar (box of 10) : $3.00

Still only $5.30.

Now I'm NOT saying my method is better, heck I'd love to eat out every day. But that $5 or $6 to $7 really isn't that for every lunch is it? I may have to start a poll on this stay tuned.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

this guy has ten minutes to get a buffalo chicken and bacon pizza to me.

We have a cafeteria here with different stations.

One is ALWAYS burgers/subs, etc. One is ALWAYS salads and veggie stuff.

The other 2 are changing between wraps, pasta, etc.

I usually get a burger/fries/soda for $6-7. If I bring my own water it knocks it down to $5-6.
