Just another reason to ALWAYS wipe the seat before you sit down in public :laugh2:
1. never sit in someone else's piss again
2. I notice if there are no shit-tickets BEFORE I sit down
3. never get my ass glued to the seat by some anonymous prankster

I hate that. Hate it even worse when I sneeze while eating rice and it goes up my nose. So I try and get it back out by inhaling. And it goes in my lungs. So I cough and it goes back in my nose. AHHHHHHHHHHH

meanwhile everyone around me is watching me almost die and thinking I'm a neanderthal/have no manners/might be partially retarded.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I love hiking. It's been at least 6 years since I did any backpacking though, and even then it was just a 6-mile round trip for a one-night camping thing by a lake at the Delaware Water Gap. Beautiful hike though and it was a lunar eclipse as well.

Coming back from the Hammers last year we did a hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back in one day, against the dire warnings of the National Park Service. 13 miles round trip and over a mile of elevation change...the hike back up was significantly harder than the way down. Lots of fun switchbacks like this:

The parts to build this bridge were carried down that same trail, piece by piece.

Yes that's snow at the top. Where we hiked to was the bottom of the crevice at the middle right of this photo, and it was very much t-shirt weather at water level.

Those pics would have been better if I had cleaned the desert dust off my lens first. :shaking:

We were told 3 separate times by park rangers that what we were doing was retarded, and that there are multiple signs threatening death or serious injury from it. XXXX it, I had one day to spend there, I wanted to see the damn river. We did the round trip in less than 7 hours including having lunch at the bottom.

Which trail did you take? I did this back in 00 and I think we took the "Bright Angel Trail". It took my GF and I approx. 8 hours down and up... 10 miles of hiking. Your right about the step spacing... I wondered why they were just far enough apart to NOT get a rythm going on the way down, that makes sense.
My toes were hurting at just about the time that we made it to the bottom. On the way back up, my toes were fine, but my heel started hurting just as we reached the top.

I used to do A LOT of hiking back then. My grandparents have a cabin in McKean County, PA., and I hiked all over those hills. My grandmother used to drop my grandfather and I off up in the NW PA mountains, and we would have to find our way back to the cabin using a compass. Sometimes ended up being a 7+ mile hike by the time we made it to the cabin.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just placed a $500 order to get the last bits of cooling system, braking system, and clutch system stuff I needed from Rock Auto.

- rear loaded calipers
- rear rotors
- radiator cap
- upper/lower radiator hoses
- heater hoses
- new clutch master
- 2 more 1982 dodge brake hoses for hardline - rear calipers
- ebrake shoes/hardware kit

I have no cores for the rears. The front calipers I have cores for so I'll just take those to my parts guy.

Now I know how Anthony feels. :rattle:

:D
No you don't, you know what its like to go up against Colin when he is in his "know it all" mood. He does that a lot.
Talk to me when every 3rd message directed at you is like that for 2 months straight.

Talk to me when you've gotten it as much as I have, and quit acting like a wounded animal.
Honestly I thought you were picturing poking the diff with the tongue of the trailer or jackknifing it into the axle or something.

But no, usually I look at the spot I'm backing something into before I actually do it. :D
Ya that's what I thought he originally meant too. I agree, look before. You move, I think you aremaking way too big of a deal about this Bill, there is no bomb attached to the cover that as soon as you tap its going to explode.

But we are all missing the simplest solution: drive your jeep around on the new property and avoid the situation all together.

Ya, I don't know why anyone would sit down on a public toilet without putting toilet paper dowwn on the seat first.

That sounds like a ton of fun.
I used to hike a bunch too, but they were all shorter <5mile deals.

Fine Fine Fine. Y'all can quit it now, it's not like I got cash to be buying one anyway. Haha. It is probably the thinnest cover I have ever seen.

That works if all I'm bringing is a chainsaw or something. Can't really bring much more than that in/on the Jeep.

My thoughts exactly.

Quit acting like being the one who catches the most shit is a good thing. :moon:

I don't know about most people but I have never had this problem. Ever.

I don't put TP down on the seat but I always wipe the seat down and give it a thorough visual inspection to make sure there is nothing sketchy going on and no one left me any surprises.

my grand canyon experience= a 40 minute drive down random ass dirt roads at like 1 am and waking up to this:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

There are ample mistakes in that post since I'm in class on my phone right now. I'm not going to be giving birth so I don't need to listen about lactation, and now I'm not the elderly so I don't need to listen to this crap, I'll deal with being old when I get old.

The thinnest diff cover I've seen was the 8.8 cover on my dads expedition that was leaking since it rusted through

South Kaibab, which I think was one or two trails further east.

Anyone ever use stainless MIG wire? I just got some for a project I'm building tonight...

I ordered a bunch of small cuts of stainless round tube from www.speedymetals.com...it's a great place for getting cut-to-length pieces of pretty much any size/material tube you could want.

Quit acting like you are the most oppressed person around and everyone has done wrong to you. Its one thing if you are the most oppressed, but it gets a little old when you aren't and are just being over dramtic.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Guys. Make progress on your builds and/or go wheeling.

== less oppression

not that I can really talk here, but I'm going to anyways. I haven't done diddly squat on my next build aside from accumulate stickers and boxes, and I haven't wheeled in nearly a month.

In short, no. But I've always wanted to give it a try. Are you going to run C25 or something different?

I've seen that site before but never had a reason to order from them. It's nice to know they're good to deal with.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Goddamnit. Plan: Leave work early to go drink beer and play cornhole. Reality: 4:30-? conference call with California team.
