THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Pfft, only n00bs gusset UCA mounts and skid plate LCA mounts. And why would I want my C's to not look like C's anymore?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Remember to not bother with the whole thing while he's at it:dunce:
hey now, look here, he should polish that turdy RIGHT :lecture::nono:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

you should upgrade it with parts from a ford ranger d28.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Then I'll weld the 30 tubes into this http://www.rwkhaussupply.com/magent...ssembly/tera-44-axle-center-section-only.html I mean, that'd be sweet witha WJ set-up right?

You have an awesome setup right now. I would have no plans whatsoever for my jeep if I was you. Not even a 44. I would wheel every weekend and if something broke thats what i'd upgrade. Why waste a weekend building a truss when you could be out wheeling? It's not going to save your gears or you shafts. XXXX it

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The figures of 25:1 and 41:1 include a gearing change from 3:73 to 4.10(Not going lower for the reason of cost and not dumping money into gay axles) So I plan on gearing to 4.10s and building a 2.46:1 dana20 regardless. Basically the ax15 seems like a nice segway into a T18 if it will be better than my TH400 offroadability wise.
I gotcha. If you can get one for a good price ($200 should get you a mint one), I would vote go for the ax-15. You could throw the same doubler setup I'm doing in the mix. That would help a lot with your FDR...

I already have an ax15 ready to go. I just need a handful of parts to swap it in.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

oh, then hell yeah. I know someone that has a D300 but he might be asking for too much $ for it. If you decide to build a doubler, let me know. I have a spare front half of a 231.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I've pretty much decided going with option 3 then if i still hate my life trying to wheel this turd i'll see about pursuing option 2 at the most bare bones cost.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah. but what are you going to run for a case then? The dana 20 or dana 300?

A dana 20 will not bolt to an ax15. I would buy a dana300, rebuild it on the cheap(not even if I could get away with smearing rtv all over and everything still spun). Then sell it when I finish building a T18 and swap what's left into my comanche.

I gotcha...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Carmelo, you have to find all the pedals and everything too right? I'd imagine all that stuff you could grab off a junk truck somewhere?

Prob need to make a custom crossmember (assuming you can't make a solid mount off of your current one)

Gonna have to redo the driveshafts I'd imagine as well.

What are you going to do for clutch MC/SC?

Carmelo, you have to find all the pedals and everything too right? I'd imagine all that stuff you could grab off a junk truck somewhere? Figured I'd just use whatever pedal I find off of whatever.

Prob need to make a custom crossmember (assuming you can't make a solid mount off of your current one) Stock one should still work from the looks of it with some holes drilled in it and obviously relocate it

Gonna have to redo the driveshafts I'd imagine as well. My specialty

What are you going to do for clutch MC/SC?For the ax15 obviously use the ones attached to it now. The MC can be reused with the T18 swap if I want or swap it out for something similar and just retain my clutch pedal that would already be there

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I decided that I'm going to pay up on PBB.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Done.
