I used to have a knife like that.Lost it throwing it into trees,iirc.I really liked that one also.

The new knife has this gizmo assist thing that helps open it up with either hand,like spring loaded, but only after its open slightly.
Great action on it and a neat finish on the blade.
Some customer left it at the restaurant a while ago, and the Manager knew I like knives and gave it to me.

I appreciated it even more when I got home and looked it up and saw it was $150.:woohoo:

wtf, newegg doesn't have bulk packs of female RJ-45 connectors. I can get a 100 pack of male RJ-45 connectors but can't find any females, not even a 1 pack. :smsoap: Wish I could find it cheaper than $5 each at Radioshack.

edit: and yes I realize that males are used more frequently and thats why they make bulk packs...

this was a national show. A bunch of construction equipment and trucks, some dating back to the late 1800's.
They had a hillside that they excavated over the weekend using a lot of the equipment. Its impressive to see old steam shovels and such get used

Keith, I don't know if you saw that state trooper on the side of the road on '93, but I saw the guy sitting there, and was just praying he wouldn't throw the lights on. I drove with my eyes in the rear view for a while, and just when I was about to look straight again, I saw the flashing lights. I was like sh*t, I really hope this guy isn't coming for me, and got nervous when he started passing everyone and getting closer to me. Thankfully, he pulled the guy in front of me over.

There are 96- bronze/mirror tinted vented rear 2dr windows, 2dr front glass, and a driver side smokers window in a grey/silver 89 xj at sams atm. Pass side door glass is pulled and sitting in back seat, driver side is rolled down but intact

So I just learned something about my Jeep... my electric fan... never been plugged in :shocked: I just pulled the radiator and noticed it was unhooked. I never unhooked it and never brought the Jeep to a shop for any under the hood work, so it must have been disconnected when I bought the Jeep in '05. Funny thing is I never had any overheating issues until camp UJ.... never even overheated while I was sitting/idling down the highway for over an hour in stop and go traffic for 2 summers in a row.

Ken, thanks for that info, any idea how much Sams wants for windows? I may have to go pick them up if I can find the time and decide that I want glass rather than swapping to lexan whenever I end up breaking some glass.

I legit s#$t a brick when I saw him because I was hauling ass to catch up with you when I saw your lic plate like and the OX on your rear diff. And then I noticed that Passat passing me and just hoped like hell.

wtf seems there is a special tool thing needed to remove water pump pulley? fawk me.

edit: looking at the new pump maybe not? maybe the old pully is just firmly secured with crustieness. back outside.

don't need it. hammer, screwdriver/prybar and some wrenches should be all you need. and... gloves for the inevitable bloody knuckles.



i'm going to go buy that truck i posted up last night, i came in to work at noon today to find out i'm not needed until tonight. going to give the guy a down payment / shuffle around paperwork tonight. wooooorrrrrrrrd

This week just keeps getting better
this morning I went down to the state police barracks to drop of a list of stolen tools, and pulling in, my sisters truck lost oil pressure.
Fortunately I stopped on my way there at a friends house to grab tools to change out my ckp sensor, and my jeep runs again, but when I went to look at the ranger, I discovered I didn't get it shut off as quickly as I thought, and the engine is locked up.

the look on the troopers face when I told him the value of the missing tools was funny though, he apparently thought there was a few hundred to a thousand dollars worth, so when I told him the value was around $20k, his jaw just about hit the floor.

Yeah, I was just stuck at getting the pully off the pump cause it was on there pretty damn good. Then I looked at the new pump and realized I just needed to use more force :thumbup: It's all apart now except i need to get that bypass hose tube off (or buy a new one) and it's being a bitch. Just called a buddy who is at work to see if I can stop by and use their table vice to get it off. If I can't get it off by end of day today I will order one on Monday. And working on the Jeep with the front clip/radiator of is much easier. I'm starting to think I may have to skip wheeling next wkend (may have to skip anyway if I can't get the hose in before then) and just stuff off the engine and do my alternator relocation and replace my mechanical fan with an electric one now that I have it all apart already and have easy access.

And :thumbup: about that truck. Sweet!

edit: and no bloody knuckles... yet. impact worked well for once, actually had enough power to get some bolts out :gee: Worked esp well for getting the bolts out to take the water pump pulley off

edit2: got that hard line off the pump... it took all the threads from the pump with it :doh: Hopefully can clean it out with a file since I really don't want to go buy a tap and die set right now. If I can't clean it I will likely order a new part and hope it gets in sooner than later.
